A good ten mins walk from central Brum. It's at the cheap end of the market. The room itself was ok, clean and tidy - but tired. Staff were all ok...but the breakfast was awful...and the eating area unclean. It's ok to sleep. Quiet. So staying is ok, but get breakfast in one of the many decent cafés in town.

When they say central it's not a good 10-15 min walk from city centre. Hotel itself not bad, clean & a good bar & eating area. My TV didn't work & I reported it & they said they'd look at it but when I returned it was still broken. The price for £34 was very good value.

Newhall Square is a particularly welcoming Travelodge. I have been in a few but this was above par. The staff were excellent, friendly, professional and good humoured too. The cafe bar was particularly good, especially the breakfast (I'm glad I paid the supplemental for that). Also, most importantly, the bar was open 24 hours, which is nice if you've been... More

Travelodge experiences vary massively depending on which hotel you stay in. Sadly, this was not one of the better experiences. I'm in a band that used TL's across the country often and we are normally happy with the stay. Newhall Street was uncomfortable and noisy. We booked a saver room for 3 adults, fully aware that this would be 1... More

The staff were amazing. Friendly and helpful. Only issue I had was the drainage problem in the bath and the noise from the street in the middle of the night. Also, there's a funny smell along the corridor of our room. Other than that, I don't see why you shouldn't stay at this Travelodge.

After another two night stay here I'm happy to say this Travelodge is ever improving. There seems to be more staff evident than on previous visits and they are most welcoming and couldn't be more helpful. We were a little apprehensive on arrival as there appeared to be quite a number of excitable young ladies staying to see Nicki Minaj... More

I had no problem getting to sleep & staying asleep, yet my wife found it hard to stay asleep due to people coming back being noisy between 2-3am & as we had our son in the room with us, felt that we would of been better off in a rear facing room rather than a front facing room.

I was staying in Birmingham for one night on business and stayed at the travel lodge on new hall street, I was really impressed with the service Lee and his team gave me and would highly recommend when staying in the city.
