I was there for one night. Very good price. Room was OK and large. Bed is correct. Bathroom nice, small shower. Desk and furniture needs to be changed. I understood that they are refurbishing the hotel. Breakfast was buffet. Good quality, big choice.

We have used the spa at the Cobden on numerous occasions in the past and found ourselves wanting to stay here but the reviews had a vast influence on my plans in doing so. I was often put off by them. We decided to give it a go and try out a couple of nights stay to see for ourselves..... More

Hotel is poor compared to the likes of premier inn however ... the good points....we were greeted by two lovely ladies on reception who were friendly and welcoming..(same cant be said about the fish who needed a good clean out). The bar is great, you get 2 half price cocktails, again bar staff friendly. I was expecting the hotel to... More

When I arrived at the hotel I felt the reception desk was disappointing and was not very welcoming. The lady that booked us in was polite. I was pretty put off by the smell in the hallway and thought that the rooms would smell like that too however my room was on the 4th floor and was pleasantly surprised! The... More

Rooms need redecorating - wallpaper falling off the wall. They also smell and aren't clean. The Leisure centre is a joke again very dirty and don't provide towels for guests to use. Flat beer and that was after the barrel was changed! Breakfast is fine for those who wanted a cooked breakfast but if you don't poor choice. overall a... More

Never have I been to a hotel that couldn't care less about its paying customers! The photos are completely misleading, rooms are small and dated. Not to forget the inside window panel missing from our bathroom and the hole in flooring too. Food at the restaurant wasn't the greatest and wouldn't be charging it at that too. Didn't get a... Stayed here over valentines and were appalled by what we stayed in. Staff were unpleasant and couldn't seem to give a crap about us paying customers! The bedrooms were far from what photos show as well as windows that felt like they were going to shatter the second you closed them. Bathroom window was missing the inside panel as well... More

When we first checked in I was taken aback by the fact that you need to pay a £50 deposit against potential damage or smoking in the rooms, usually it's a case of leaving card details so that money can be taken if there is damage. So straight away I had £50 less to spend over the weekend. When we... More
