Can't ask for more for 40 quid. Good welcome at reception. Clean tidy rooms. Tea and coffee making facilities. Plenty of clean towels. Working bath and shower Wouldn't hesitate in booking again if in area I think I read on their website that the bar was open 24 hrs. When we got there about 330pm the shutters on the bar... More

Just awful. Upon walking in to the room I was tempted to walk out and find somewhere else to stay. The room was falling apart. The desk/dresser had holes in it and the carpet which - for some reason - was creeping up the walls was now peeling away from it and revealing the stone wall. The back of the... More

This hotel suits its purpose. If you are out in Birmingham and dont want to pay £100 to stay somewhere as you are literally sleeping in a bed then this place is for you. It is clean, dry and close to the centre of the city. If however you are looking for a classy/romantic place to stay with someone, this... More

We attended a wedding reception at this hotel and booked two tripple rooms to accommodate our family of 6. It was a lovely reception, excellent food and big grounds for the children to play outside. The rooms were spacious and our two rooms were situated close together so very convenient for us. Cannot comment on breakfast as this was not... More

Booked this hotel last minute to combine visiting our granddaughter and celebrating our wedding anniversary. I also phoned the hotel prior to visit with a few questions. our family had been staying there since the Saturday, they had also had a visit from other family members during the stay who also used the leisure facilities with no issues while they... I was worried after reading reviews but we had a very pleasant stay. There was a wedding on so it was a bit noisy until midnight - but mostly children playing on the garden - but after that it was very quiet. Staff were friendly. The room was big and clean and breakfast was varied and plentiful - with very... More

After reading the reviews we booked with an open mind. We booked through alpharooms and upon checking in found that alpharooms had only booked us one room instead of two. We were told by the reception staff to take a seat and they would sort it out. After ten minutes or so indeed they had remedied the problem. The reception... More

Having read some of the previous reviews I have to admit I was slightly dreading staying here this weekend. However, I was pleasantly surprised. We were checked in promptly and allowed to park for free which I've found to be an absolute rarity for most hotels. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and the beds were super comfy. I would... On arrival, we were shown to our room, which has a very strom fresh gloss paint smell. When I touched the door, I had gloss on my hand! We changed rooms which was not quite the same as the picture advertised! The noise from the other rooms were very loud, to the point where we phoned reception to ask them... More
