Stayed here as was cheaper than paying for a taxi home on my own after a night out in Brum. Friendly welcome, clean beds, sheets and bathroom. Private bunks to a degree and outstanding value! Would definitely consider staying here again.

The hostel offers good services. It's a very cosy place to stay, cleaning services are excellent, comfortable beds and it's worth booking it with the continental breakfast. (maybe they should add cheese. Kitchen facilities great as well as living room. Especially appropriate fro group of friends. My only complain is that the wifi was not working most of time but... Warm, welcoming and relaxing. I booked the accommodation last min after reading great reviews and I must say I was not disappointed. First impression - cosy, quiet, 'a home from home'. The staff are very attentive, helpful and lovely. Throughout my weekend stay I dealt with 5 staff members (both male and female), and they were all lovely. The first... More

I booked the hostel for two nights and I liked it. The room was warm, nice and clean. The bathroom and kitchen were neat as well. Although it was difficult to locate livery street and the hostel. I would think they hostel managers should make their sign post more conspicuous.

I booked Hatters Birmingham for a week, I didn't realise it was sharing, so cancelled 2 nights, rebooked a private room for 5 nights, the girl making the booking made a mistake and only booked 4 nights, I am so glad as I was able to cancel the 3 nights, the night I stayed was awful as it was a... I was welcomed by very friendly staff on arrival, processed my check in quickly. I booked what is apparently the only single room in the hostel. It's small but has everything you might need and was sparkling clean. The bathroom looks like it has been recently redone with nice fittings and and interesting squeezy handwash dispenser! Watch out for the... More

Stayed at the Hatters Hostel Birmingham on a Friday night in October. Checked in at 8pm Friday night took around 10 + minutes despite their being just one customer in front of me. There were 2 staff members on the reception desk however the young man helped himself to a drink from the fridge and then walked away before wondering... More

I have stayed in a lot of hostels over the years as a solo traveller, and this was without doubt the worst. Normally when I stay at a hostel I book it online via credit card, then pay the remainder of the price when I arrive in cash. This has never been a problem in any UK or European hostel.... More
