This place is ideal for travelling building trades. Its too basic, lacks quality. In a nutshell cheap and nasty. The food, well did not even try it. The eating area did not appeal. Good choice and decision.

Dear rene133019. Thank you for your review. I am sorry to read you did not enjoy your stay, and I would love to have been given the opportunity to be able to address your concerns in person and try to overcome them. However, I, along with many other guests disagree with you that we are a dump. Regards Debra Jones.... More

I recently stayed at the Beeches conference centre/hotel in Bournville. The hotel is an old building that has been extended and added to over the years. It has quite extensive grounds, most of which are given over to car parking. There is a lawned area at the back. The area, for those who don't know it, is one of the... More

I moved hotels into the Beeches after a very bad experience in another 'hotel' locally. I am still recovering from the flee bites I received. so I was very happy to find that the Beeches is a professionally run hotel with all the aminatites you would expect. I had room 207 which is very large with big en-suite with double... More

Menu revamped -much better. Communal areas tidy enough. However room too small and bathroom was the size of a cupboard -see pics 4 details. Shower cubicle very small and well worn. Had to walk sideways to get out of the shower to pass the sink. Had to stand up on an angle to get off toilet otherwise you banged your... More

Dear BarbadosNo1Fan. Thank you for your review. I am glad to read that you have found the work we have been doing much improved. Everything takes time and we will get to the whole building on a rolling programme. I'm sorry you found the bathroom small, but your tip is good advice. The single rooms are the smallest we have,... I stayed here on several occasions during 2009 and 2010 on residential training courses, and really enjoyed staying at the Beeches. The accommodation was nice, the food good and the staff very friendly. The setting is pleasant too, quiet and relaxing. Recommended.

The Beeches is aimed at mainly the corporate sector of the market. I think if my company sent me there I would start to question if I had any future in my organisation. As a private guest I found the hotel easy to find with a large adiquate car park. The Beeches is close to Cadbury World and Bournville train... More

Stayed here for one night whilst at a 2 day conference in the hotel. Had dinner, reasonably priced and really good quality. The breakfast was full English with a good selection of pastries, fruit, cereal and yoghurt as well. During breaks there were fresh cookies, cakes and free and unlimited tea and coffee. The hotel has a very odd layout... More

My sister and I stayed here to visit Crufts at the NEC. Lovely quiet location. No frills rooms, clean and adequate. The staff were absolutely superb and I include the manager Debra in that. Adam, the restaurant manager was a credit to the hotel as was the guy on reception.

Very bad rooms. The bathroom is small and you can't turn in. No space for the suitacase in the room. The smell was really bad. Internet was down. The restaurant was ok, just ok. Good situation to visit Cadbury world

Dear Marta C. Thank you for your review. I'm glad our restaurant was ok for you. I have checked your reservation and you had booked a standard single room. We also have doubles and superior doubles which would have offered you much more space. Perhaps if you have occasion to visit us again, an upgraded room should ensure maximum room... More
