Stayed here in a quirky attic room whilst attending the NEC. Great value. No internet in the room although you can use the office computer. Our room was great, with oars and boating bits and pieces. Nice bathroom. The dining room is old fashioned and lovely. I really liked the pool and steam room. Grounds are lovely with old Abbey... more

We visited Wroxall for the seventh time to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We held our wedding at Wroxall, using the Mansion package in December 2007. All of our guests were extremely impressed with the beauty of the venue, the polite nature of the staff and consequently the fantastic time that they had. My husband and I were treated like... more

I stayed at Wroxall Abbey for a conference. The buildings and grounds are absolutely beautiful, but I'm afraid my opinion is that the place needs millions spending on it to bring it up to a decent hotel standard. Rooms are all different. Some are OK but mine was just horrible! Random old furniture, an electric heater to keep the room... more

Staff The staff at the hotel really were excellent. So polite and courteous at all times and service perfect. They also went out of their way to help accommodate our two small children (I was particularly impressed when the chef cooked something especially for them on our arrival- the receptionist took time to ask what sort of food they like... more

Read this review if you are considering having your wedding here... Firstly let me say that overall our wedding day was a success and we managed (ourselves and the guests) to see past the problems that we experienced and we all had a great time. To start off on a positive note the venue itself is perfectly set up for... more

I went to school at Wroxall when it was an all girls boarding school. So its safe to say I know the place like the back of my hand. I was so excited to go back and see what had become fo the old place - How disappointed was I !! The main hotel is reasonable in decor and renovation,... more

A friend of ours got married here so we booked a room for convenience. Lovely setting and a lovely day. Our room was less lovely - grubby, lights not working and worst of all damp! It felt like the bed needed a really good airing, the windows to be opened for some fresh air to come in and a good... more

My husband and I stayed in a room in the mansion for one night for a wedding recently and were very impressed. We paid £135 for the night which is considerably more than other hotels in the area but we felt it was worth it. The room (#78) was enormous, more like a suite with antique furniture and a huge... more

Myself and my partner stayed at Wroxall for 1 night at the beginning of the month and were really impressed. Location - is very convenient as it is only 12 miles away from the NEC and Birmingham airport. As you approach the hotel there is a long driveway with fields either side and animals in them - very idyllic. Rooms... more
