I stayed at the Cambridge Villa Hotel on business. The en-suite room was comfortable and spacious. The proprietor was welcoming, friendly and always happy to help. Breakfasts were fine. The main problem that I encountered during my stay was the shower (turned hot and cold and sometimes it stopped working altogeter - possibly when someone else was using the communal... More

Janet and I stayed at the Cambridge Villa on the 24th March 2012 enroute from Devon to Yorkshire. The proprietor Bruna is a wonderful host, very welcoming and a real joy to share her worldly experiences and interest in you the customer. Unlike many mid-range 'soul-less' hotels, lodges and inns, this hotel has great character, very homely and a place... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Cambridge Villa, after there was a mix up at another b&b down the road. The owners were lovely and very welcoming. We got our room and it was very spacious and the bathroom was clean and bright. A little rough around the edges but a nice homely place to stay. The full breakfast... More

The room was very small, very tatty and worn. the ensuite was extremley small and covered in mold on the walls, tiles and ceilings.. The smell of the mould was very distinct. The bed spread althoug very clean was worn and had holes in it. Tea and coffee making facilities were ok, but having to get down on hands and... More

Stayed here for one night after a great day "Jousting". It isn't a Travel Lodge etc, therefore it is a bit quirky, but a lot more homely. We had a lovely welcome from Mrs Brunel and were shown to our room, number 16, 4 poster bed, plenty of storage and a nice large shower cubicle. Other rooms in our party... More

From the outside the hotel did look a little in need of attention, but the excellent friendly welcome and service during our stay from Mrs Bruna was a welcome change from places we've stayed before. There is parking around the back and its easy to get to, but a little' bumpy'. The room we stayed in was room 1 (having... More

We had booked with the Cambridge Villa Hotel before we read the reviews. When we read some of the reviews prior to our trip we were a bit worried! However, we were more than pleasantly surprised. Bruna is really friendly and welcoming and the room was spotless. The breakfast was spot on. It is a great location, a really short... More

The entry to the car park was extremely bumpy and uneven we worried about damaging the car. I would not have attempted this in a roadster. The lady who greeted us was pleasant and left us to sort ourselves out. The room was at the back, the bed was nicely decorated but the other furniture was of poor quality and... More
