Very welcoming and friendly staff. Our room was ok, pictures deceiving on your website. Heating in room wasn't working on arrival at 2pm. We notified staff but nothing was done. We arrived in the restaurant to eat at 7pm. Again my partner spoke to the same member of staff re: heating. A mobile small heater was then put in our... More

This is basically a pub with guest rooms available, but lacks parking - there's a nearby public pay-and-display a bit further down the road. the entrance to both pub and reception is alongside each other off the small outdoor courtyard. I didn't find the reception clearly marked; the bar staff originally directed me but I had to return to them... More

I was a bit nervous about staying here after reading previous reviews - but I was booked in by a colleague so I thought I would take the chance. First of all I need to say that the staff were VERY friendly ( almost too friendly - not sure the barman should have called me Princess - I am old... More

Just a heads-up for those expecting a constantly manned check in, I arrived on a quiet night before Christmas so check in was being manned by the restaurant front of house - not a biggie as a quick chat with bar staff produced a staff member to check me in. I raised a few minor issues with my allocated room... More

Check in was not manned constantly but we did not wait long for somebody to check us in. We had a lovely double room which was very comfortable, good tea and coffee facilities and the bathroom did the job, no bath in ours but I rarely use them mostly showers, but there was shampoo, shower gel and soap which I... We stayed there recently and chose it for its central location. We had booked for 3 nights so when I complained to the manager about the bad smell in the room we were told it was not easy to relocate us as it was fully booked. We were subsequently told that the staff could not smell anything and nobody had... More

This place is great. The food is brilliant, fresh and cooked to order so it gets to you steaming hot. The staff are all very friendly, helpful, knowledgable and passionate about thier job, and they just can't do enough for you. The room my partner and i stayed in, was warm, clean and luxurious, with fresh clean towels, water lovely... More

Booked as a treat for myself and boyfriend. We were given room 2 black and gold. It smelt musky...wardrobe drawer broken, tv didn't work and shower head broken. They changed our room to room 14 again black and gold room. Was small, no dressing table and coffee machine broke. This stay was £130. I would of rathered stayed at the... More

Stayed here for two nights in the gold themed double room. Lovely quirky good sized room. Very clean. Could not fault the room at all. The only disappointment was being by the road, with single glazed windows, the cars were very noisy. Also people coming back late creaking the floorboards. Felt maybe it was a little over priced but suppose... More

we booked for two nights in November, a luxury double room, on arrival they had no record of our booking, luckily I had the confirmation email, The receptionist was apologetic and helpful but the manager who she spoke with appeared uninterested. Turned out the booking had been made but no room allocated, we ended up with a different room each... More
