While the hotel has some ageing decor the overall state of the room was good. As this is an old building and predates modern expectations from a hotel I think the amenities are as best as can be expected. The hotel was good enough to supply a fan in the room as this week has seen high temperatures throughout the... More

We were greeted by a tiny badly organised car park, but at least there was parking! The staff were extremely friendly and made the visit worthwhile. Unfortunately they did not have a fan for the room and it was stifling hot. The only way to sleep was under a wet towel! The room was clean, and adequate. The building is... More

Right in the heart of Warwick, this hotel had the potential to be at the forefront of travellers minds when planning a trip to Shakespeare's county. Unfortunately, this hotel offers little more than somewhere to dump your bags whilst you go off exploring. The interior of the hotel is old fashioned; what you might expect from a historical town? No... More

We were organising a fishing weekend so visited the hotel to ensure the accommodation was good, we were shown two rooms and the standard was very good. We booked months in advance when we arrived this weekend we were given rooms that were not acceptable. I was in 303 the shower had a dribble coming out, there was no shower... More

Sorry but never again. Room was terrible staff none existing and what there was were to young or not bothered. " do you have a wine list please" "Sorry we don't BUT I can tell you what wines we do...... Red, white and rose..." "What types of wine do you have in red plaese" "Oh....We have House wine...." I gave... More

Really good value for money. Great location, polite staff, ok rooms, comfortable beds, nice breakfast and ample parking. I would definitely stay again. Maybe the water is a bit colder than it should be but it certainly does not warrant the negative feedback given by others on this website. Give people the chance to criticise and they will unfortunately. What... More

Husband and I stayed here on a Saturday night. The staff were pleasant and accommodating, the frontage of the building is lovely, however walking through the hotel is like going through the twilight zone. The layout leading to the rooms are like a maze, which are, unfortunately, threadbare and very dated. From our experience, we found the hotel to be... More

Very basic and outdated. The room was so hot even with the heating off and the window open that they leave a fan in the room, which helps but just about makes it bearable. It wasn't hot outside, just in the room. I wouldn't recommend staying here. Spend a few extra quid and get a decent nights sleep!

We stayed in room 205. The free car parking was a bonus but that's where it ends. The whole hotel is ridiculously run down, skanky carpets in the communal areas. Our room was very run down, the carpets were dirty, the net curtain filthy and I was worried about what I'd catch. The furniture was all very very dated. The... More

In my opinion this place should not be operating. It is a complete dump. The first room they tried to put us in 105, had the pleasure of our company for just 2 minutes. The large old windows let in the noise from the main road and when I lifted the filthy net curtain to look outside, all the wood was... More
