Don't normally bother with reviews but having had the misfortune to stay here on business, thought a warning to stay clear was required.A shocking standard with hairs found in the sink cracks in ceiling leaking radiators awful smell throughout. Best solution bring the bulldozer in... It may appear cheap.... but remember you pay for what you get. Personally speaking, and... More

We stayed last weekend for a little break as I work unsociable hours this was my only weekend I've had off since before Christmas, and I have always wanted to visit warwick castle. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by a polite male member of staff at the desk, we got our key and went to our room. The... More

It is difficult to find positives about my experience at the Lord Leycester Hotel. The hotel is in an incredibly shabby state. An extensive radiator flood had sodden the carpet outside the 2nd room I was shown (the first being so depressing I asked to change). Though the receptionist was aware of the problem, nothing had been done to soak... More

Had looked on Tripadvisor before booking this hotel and had reservations about the cleanliness aspects. My wife telephoned the manager and mentioned our doubts - he said he would guarantee we would not be disappointed; we weren't - the room was perfectly clean and very comfortable - we had no problems with the hot water (commented on in reviews), the... If you read the history of this hotel it says it had the intention of being a 'top class hotel'. With a bit of imagination I can see that it might well have been at some point but the reality is somewhat different. The positives: The car park is large and the staff were very personable. But from our first... More

Spent one night here. Staff very welcoming. Public area very pleasant and clean. Bedrooms are very tired looking. In need of decoration. Hotel nice and quite. Breakfast excellent. In great location right in the middle of Warwick. Has it's own car park to the rear.

I made a late booking at this central and historic hotel. The rate was excellent. The late bar was nice and breakfast well cooked. The room was fine, yes it's tired and rather shabby but the staff do well in not very inspiring accommodation

Yes this is a cheap hotel and I didn't expect anything special about it at all....what I did expect though was a room with a heater that worked...and hot water for a shower. We got neither! Although we did change rooms and we were given one with a heater that worked and it also over looked the inner courtyard so... More

Firstly, the strengths of this hotel should be highlighted. We were greeted by friendly and attentive staff (particular mention should go to the bubbly and cheerful young lady working the night shift). Although our party didn't didn't feel brave enough to tackle a full English breakfast after the previous night's sumptuous curry, the scrambled egg on toast was wonderful -... More

Seen a lot of negative comments about this place. No, it's not a smart place. Shabby in fact. But it's an independent hotel, sprawling over what looks like about three buildings and three pretty grotty extensions, and so it's a bit of a mess. But the room was clean, spacious, warm, good shower, comfortable. And the staff were very friendly... More
