Hotel communal areas tatty and tired Sash window in our room wouldn't open or close without calling maintenance. Too noisy to leave open at night, but needed fresh air during the day. First night shower just went on and off when it felt like it. However that was a bonus because we never saw hot water again. Cold showers for... more

We were at The Lord Leycester for one night after attending a function. On arrival we found our room, and thought we were back in the 1970's! All furniture and fittings need re-newing. At 6:00 am on the Sunday morning the extractor fan for the kitchen, outside our room window, started up. This would have been OK if the bearing... more

The hotel inside is a little tired, but the central location, parking and friendly staff made it very pleasant. Overall I would not rate it great, but ok for a 1 night stay to see historic Warwick. more

I've been staying at this hotel for many years now and is a firm favourite with myself and my husband. it is a old hotel which could do with a bit of a refurb, but what really makes it is the staff. they always seem pleased to see you and nothing is too much trouble its like having a extended... more

Hotel was well located for visiting the castle and other local sites. Some very nice pubs and places to eat. Got a free meal in Prezzo but only because so much went wrong with our order!!!! The hotel staff were very helpful but the rooms need some attention. The bed was comfortable but the room needed a spruce up and... more

What a place! This is like a run down 60's seaside B&B. All comments about the water are true. The rooms need a massive update. Maybe a visit by 'The Hotel Inspector' would be the best idea..... Although the hotel offered room service we were told by the late night barman that he had too many people in the bar... more

We were a bit dubious at first when we saw the rooms, but we all had an undisturbed night's sleep in comfortable beds, water was nice and hot even though we were warned plumbing antiquated. Breakfast was really good and plentiful, staff were helpful, and the location is excellent. more

Where to start!! I first stayed at this hotel with my husband (then boyfriend) when he was working in the area in about September 2004. We have stayed there a lot over the years and have become friends with the staff. They are very helpful and bend over backwards to make the guests happy. As such, we had our wedding... more

First of all I would praise the staff at the Lord Leycester as they were very good. The downside of this hotels are the rooms, often there was no cold water with hot coming out of both taps, the water could also be brown on occasions. The rooms and corridors are very dated, we stayed whilst the weather was very... more
