Stayed here for 2 nights on business, receptionist was friendly on booking in, took a while to find room along a maze of corridors! The room was dated & shower was very poor, dripping most of night! Tv lost reception for about an hour, & only wifi I could get was in bar. Breakfast was ok, but a bit pricey at... More

Went to stay for the weekend and couldn't have been more disappointed. The room was very small and smelled terrible. Turned on the bath taps and the water was brown. The hot tap in the sink didn't work at all. This meant that we couldn't wash for the time we were there. The tv didn't work either. Also, the hotel... More

Tired of boring carbon-copy hotels in ugly modern buildings where all the rooms are identical? We have just the place for you! The Lord Leycester is a fine old building (from the outside anyway) and has a fantastic central location in Warwick with a free car park for guests. Inside it is a weird old labyrinth of a place. It... More

A two day booking with breakfast, one breakfast of poached eggs came on dry toast and solid eggs. The room on the second floor was heated by an electric heater which couldn't compete with 3c outdoor temperatures. The curtains were shredding and would have made Miss Haversham proud. There was no heating in the bathroom, although very hot water was... More

I know I've given it 5 stars but this is value for money. Yes the decor is not up to scratch but the rooms are very clean and the staff attend to your every need. It's minutes away from Warwick Castle and a bus trip away from Lemington Spa for shopping, restaurants and bars. The hotel is obviously ancient which... More

nice size telly, very comfortable bed, decent size mugs in which to make tea staff were friendly and helpful radiator in my room was not working - there was an efficient oil heater in the room instead but this did make the air very stuffy and dry! air extractor in bathroom was extremely noisy and therefore used light over the... Booked 2 twin rooms (only rooms available....really?) for 1 night for work colleague and myself. That was 1 night too many. My room was unclean, decor very dated and run down, e.g curtains did not close and hung by 3 curtain hooks, wall light over vanity mirror when on will fizzle and remarkably turns TV off. Bathroom unclean and shabby,... More

When we checked in, we were told to give our Car Reg no to reception to activate the free parking. One month later - received a letter fromy car hire firm advising me they had deducted £96 for parking there on the day we checked in. I've contacted them 3 times by phone and by email, and STILL no reply

Everything about this hotel was awful. From the room, which was tiny and needed redecorating to the fact that the restaurant didn't open on a Saturday night. There was a terrible smell in the corridor on the way to the room, litter in the car park cigarette ends in the floor. Just awful, only redeeming feature was the pleasant young... More

Up on walking in the door from the car park the 'musty' smell hits you almost immediately. Once we arrived at our room, I was disappointed to find that it was little bigger than a shoe box (room 119). Extremely poor décor and cleanliness in the bathroom. The windows had damp on them, in desperate need of a clean. The... More
