My boyfriend and I had a fantastic stay at The Emsley. Mel, Ray and their daughter made us feel very welcome. Thank you for the delish breakfast. The B&B is a couple of minutes walk from the centre and even though it's on a main road, you can't hear anything once you walk through that front door. more

I was in Stratford as part of a Shakespeare study trip from University which I had joined at the last minute. My friends had all booked other B&B's in the area which had no more vacancies and so I stumbled upon the Emsley guest house which I booked by myself. It was my first time at a B&B and it... more

This was our first B&B experience and it was FANTASTIC! Val & Keith are very warm, friendly & helpful. Their home is spotlessly clean and the breakfast is lovely! They ask you to let them know what you want for breakfast so there's no wastage. There's also loads of fresh milk, cereal and fruit. We stayed in the Warwick which... more

Keith and Val are very freindly people, and we enjoyed our stay at the Emsley very much. When we arrived by car, Keith took us to the garages just a minute's walk around the corner from the B&B, and helped us unload the car, and get parked - by the way, it helped that we have a small car, another... more

Stayed here in July with our two teens. We were able to get two rooms (Warwick and Suffolk). This was something we had originally thought we could not afford, but the rates were low enough to make it possible. This was a treat after the small rooms and high rates in London. Both rooms were clean and well appointed. The... more

I stayed here for a weekend with a girl friend. The house and hosts were warm and welcoming. On arrival we were taken to the lock up garages and on our return given a useful overview of the town and places to visit with accompanying leaflets/maps. The room we had was enormous with three beds (a double and two singles)... more

The Emsley is a great B&B with very kind service and delicious breakfast. Its location is central to everything you want to see in the town. Just strolllng through the town is really part of the joy of visiting (not to mention the RSC and their AMAZING theatre). This is easy to do from the Emsley. I do recommend trying... more

We arrived, frazzled and tired. We were welcomed by our hostess, who took us to the lock up garages and helped us from thereon. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, and the room was spacious with a tiny bathroom (a full sized bathroom next door - luxury huh?) and good facilities. We have no problem with recommending this good quality... more

Oftentimes travel reviews seem too good to be true. However, in this case every good thing you read about the Emsley is DEFINITELY true. Val and Keith are wonderful, friendly, informative hosts with a lovely guesthouse. The cooked-to-order breakfast is among the best I've had in a B&B. The rooms are spotless, comfortable and charming. I stayed in the Norfolk,... more
