My husband I were traveling through Stratford in our motorhome and desperately in need of some clean drinking water to fill our tank. We pulled in to the campsite and asked Reception if they knew somewhere locally where we could fill up and they kindly offered for us to use their water. So incredibly generous given we were not staying... More

Nice site & no criticism. However we were very disappointed when we went to the restaurant on the Easter Saturday. The bar where meals were served, was very crowded, & noisy. I asked if there was any other rooms to eat in, & was told there is a 150 place room, but there is a Wedding function on. (Really, at... More

Stayed here for a long weekend in spring last year and were fortunate enough to be blessed with fantastic weather. We had our own caravan and booked a riverside pitch. It was peaceful and relaxing with great views. The toilets were very clean. It was an enjoyable flat half an hour walk into central Stratford so was ideal. Got a... More

Motorhomes are not catered for, in our view not welcome. All grass and when wet by the heck! Put us on virtual swamp. When we complained about showers, lights, mud met with obnoxious warden, who would not stay quiet enough to listen. Asked for refund on unused nights caused hell of a stir, retorts ' we don't do refunds'. So... More

Very enjoyable and relaxing break. We stayed in one of the Hobbit Hut Minis and found it was easily big enough for the two of us. Hut is warm, expected to be loaded up with blankets at this time of year but actually left the heater off and needed windows open. Also equipped with a sofa bed, fridge, and a... More

Just had lunch!, great location and view but that's about it. Ordered red wine but was told had no stock to was offered white. When we eventually got bottle of red it was freezing cold. Food very average. Ceaser salad with iceberg lettuce - new one to me. Dressing tasted out of bottle. Quality of food very poor. Shame as... More

We stayed one night in our own motorhome so that we could visit the theatre. Plus points: - only a little over 1 mile from the centre of Stratford so easily walkable on good footpaths; - riverside location with swans on the water; - river taxi to the centre of Stratford is an enjoyable and relaxing way to go into... This is a great central location if you want access to Stratford but don't expect picturesque views from your camp. Layout is somewhat regimented and the site would benefit from some boundary hedges or other planting to break it up. Won't stop me from visiting again though.

This review is for any bands booked in to play or anyone looking to hire a live band to perform in the function venue. In one word - don't. The sound limiter in the room is set so that bands are restricted to play no louder than talking volume. If the band plays louder than this then power to the... More

This is a well run, well designed site. They even have a water taxi into Stratford, although unfortunately we didn't manage to get on it. We paid for a riverside pitch, which was £5 per night extra, we had stunning views. Would highly recommend this site.
