David Bulman, the owner, seems to see hotel management as an easy life-style choice, opting in when he feels benevolent and opting out when he 'cannot be bothered'. I have seen glowing reviews of this 'wonerful couple' whom 'make us feel at home'. Yet I had a room booked and was left out on the street despite several phone calls.... More

This is a B and B, not a hotel. The decor leaves a lot to be desired and the en suite was squeezed into a cupboard. However the room was clean and adequate. The breakfast room was pleasant except there was paper and cardboard piled up in the fireplace. The breakfast was OK. I would not recommend this to friends.

Had an overnight stay there this week and pleasantly surprised by the experience. The owners, David & Lubov, were very welcoming with a drink & slice of david's birthday cake to start off the stay. Previous reviews have been quite scathing about the staffs approach to customer service but we experienced none of those issues. The hotel had in the... More

My partner Ty and I stayed for one night on Tuesday and we loved it. The owners David and Ljubov are two of the nicest, intelligent, warm and entertaining people we have met and really we felt as if we had come to their house and not a b&b. Great place to stay if you are a fun and relaxed... More

Stayed here one night, when I arrived the staff were very confused and did not know what room I was to stay in. Room was very clean and tidy. Bathroom was also very clean. Painting work in the hallway could do with a re-coat! Breakfast was ok but was empty cereal boxes placed on the table...not ideal when ur hungry... More

What a terrible experience?! Missing checking staff/desk...filthy bathroom, bad designed dirty cramped bedroom, complete lack of professionalism. Great location but I would not stay here again if they paid me to. Can't believe they have the cheek to call themselves a hotel?!

I stayed here early september 2011 and really enjoyed it. The manager was very accommodating and helpful. the room was tastefully decorated and decent for a couple nights stay. Breakfast was plenty full and hot. Would stay again.

We recently stayed 1 night at the Aurora in Stratford and believe me 1 night was enough! The tiled entrance hall hadn't seen a mop in months, cobwebs were everywhere and the loo in our room hadn't even been flushed - and why the toilet roll holder was positioned at a height of 5ft totally baffled us! Staff, who didn't... More

I stayed for 2 nights in June and the only good things I can say about this 'Hotel' is that it is a great location for Stratford and that the bed linen and towels were spotlessly clean. Unfortuatley they were the only things that were, everything needed a good scrub and in some areas there was a musty smell. My... More
