The guest house is ideally located for the town centre and is only a short stroll from the theatre. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. We're regular visitors to Stratford and decided to stay at the Applegarth for 2 nights despite petty gripes by earlier Tripadvisor respondents. We, like the majority of earlier visitors, found the place comfortable and clean and the staff helpful and friendly. I have just come back from my twelfth stay at the Applegarth and it just keeps getting better and better! The rooms are such good value and always clean and have everything in them you need.The owner Andrea is lovely and so are all her staff. The breakfast is as good as a 5 star hotel as it is cooked... more

Great location, free parking which was a bonus and a brill full English breakfast.. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms we booked looked nice and modern. I will definitely go back very soon. Such good value. more

My wife and i stayed at the Applegarth 12th - 14th March 2009, check in was easy 2 minutes and in our room (No 6) this was very clean and really quite spacious, very light and airy, with a lovely bay window where you can sit and people watch.
