Arrived Friday 13th feb and stayed till Sunday. Pleasant staff greeted us and showed us to room, which was spotless and spacious. Excellent shower!! Weren't in the hotel a great deal with the wedding, but all seem well. Breakfast was both filling and tasty. Read reviews before going and was left puzzled!! Only small complaint was that it was to... More

Do not stop here it really is shocking our room was split into two halves and neither the big light or bedside lamp worked. After going to the reception twice to complain nothing was done so I literally walked to the sainsbury's over the road to buy a bulb so I could at least have the bedside lamp on. Got... More

Despite some refurbishment and obviously new furniture, the hotel Is in a lamentable state. Not one chandelier had the correct number of bulbs working. The carpets in my first room were filthy, curtains hanging only partially, and the lampshade was torn. It was freezing and had no wi fi. Apparently the side of the hotel where reception is has no... We booked this hotel for one night as a weekend break and one night is about all we could endure here. The bed was very uncomfortable, the furniture in the room was old and tatty, the tea making facilities were placed upon a computer desk and overall the room was just very tired and in need of a spruce up.... Had to stay here on business after the holiday inn down the road was booked up. This place is one of the worst hotels I have ever stated in. Pros: Packet of biscuits in the room were nice I suppose...that's about it. Cons: No staff when I arrived, so had to go to the Indian take away next door to... More

This is the worst hotel I have stayed in. I have stayed in better camp sites! Here we go: There was mould in the bathroom There was scum on the hand wash dispenser The water trickled out of the shower The side of the bath was falling off The room was so hot I couldn't breath and had sweat dripping... Could not believe when shown my room the condition of it, the attic room in the old building has had extensive leaks resulting in ceiling paint peeling, wallpaper (well lining paper) with heavy stains and the carpet was totally unbelievable. I asked the guy seriously you expect me to sleep in this room, his response was the carpet was cleaned... More

Have stayed here before, thought it might have improved it has, but only very slightly. The room was great, then it was spoilt. Two mugs in the room were both chipped, one very badly. There were no shower soaps or shampoos, no extra toilet rolls, no milk, not many coffee sachets, it seemed that the room had not been prepared... More

Only stayed for the one night. Lovely comfortable and clean room with super power shower. Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality. Hotel has good, off-road car parking too. We also used their meeting room the next day which was very cheap with good coffee and biscuits but decorated in a very alternative and 'Bohemian' style!!
