We booked this hotel for one night as a weekend break and one night is about all we could endure here. The bed was very uncomfortable, the furniture in the room was old and tatty, the tea making facilities were placed upon a computer desk and overall the room was just very tired and in need of a spruce up.... Had to stay here on business after the holiday inn down the road was booked up. This place is one of the worst hotels I have ever stated in. Pros: Packet of biscuits in the room were nice I suppose...that's about it. Cons: No staff when I arrived, so had to go to the Indian take away next door to... More

This is the worst hotel I have stayed in. I have stayed in better camp sites! Here we go: There was mould in the bathroom There was scum on the hand wash dispenser The water trickled out of the shower The side of the bath was falling off The room was so hot I couldn't breath and had sweat dripping... Could not believe when shown my room the condition of it, the attic room in the old building has had extensive leaks resulting in ceiling paint peeling, wallpaper (well lining paper) with heavy stains and the carpet was totally unbelievable. I asked the guy seriously you expect me to sleep in this room, his response was the carpet was cleaned... More

Have stayed here before, thought it might have improved it has, but only very slightly. The room was great, then it was spoilt. Two mugs in the room were both chipped, one very badly. There were no shower soaps or shampoos, no extra toilet rolls, no milk, not many coffee sachets, it seemed that the room had not been prepared... More

Only stayed for the one night. Lovely comfortable and clean room with super power shower. Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality. Hotel has good, off-road car parking too. We also used their meeting room the next day which was very cheap with good coffee and biscuits but decorated in a very alternative and 'Bohemian' style!!

For a few bucks more, book a superior room, it is cleaner, better and wider. not really a good idea to be forced to step out in the street go to breakfast / reception but the hotel is made out of an old house I guess. 24 hours access to rooms, breakfast not amazing, central position. No air conditioning, and... More

Due to a booking error we were changed from our original hotel to this one. Even though it wasn't this hotels fault they upgraded us to a premium room which was very nice and at the back overlooking the rear gardens. Very nicely furnished and spacious. Booked into the restaurant Raffles excellent meal and the pianist was very entertaining. Breakfast... More

I was pleasantly surprised by the initial appearance of the hotel considering how cheap it was. I did have to check in late around 10pm due to a misguided taxi driver and found that the hotel reception was closed and a sign directed to the restaurant. I waited around for a bit for the only busy waitress to see to... More
