The hotel is vastly improved but has considerable disruptions due to the renovation work which was neither disclosed on check in or their web site. Parking is still a problem due to limited spaces available. Staff very friendly and helpful. more

Comments relate only to our Xmas Day lunch booking - not accommodation. We booked and paid just under £100 for lunch for 2 but my car broke down on the way from London so we couldn't get to Kenilworth from Stratford (as it was Xmas Day). I called the hotel over 24 hours before the booking to explain why we... more

Stayed here recently with friends, got a room upgrade when we checked in and was pleasantly surprised in view of some of the reviews on here. The rooms were a good size, clean and included hairdrier, trouser press, iron & ironing board. The bathroom was adequate and well stocked with towels and toiletries. Even though the hotel was reasonably busy,... more

After reading the reviews about this hotel we were very apprehensive. Yes, the building is 1960's, and not the most beautiful in the world. HOWEVER we found the staff pleasant and helpful, the room quiet, clean and comfortable with everything we required, including lovely fluffy clean towels. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic - eat as much as you like, with plenty... more

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, the staff were very helpful and friendly. We were slightly disappointed when we arrived because although the room had been cleaned, they had not replaced the towels, when we asked at reception we got told that the cleaner was on the way around and would be informed of this. Two hours later... more

Having read the reviews was pleasantly suprised by what I found on a recent weekend stay. Yes the hotel is a little shabby in places and they could do with better mattresses but overall my experience was a good one. Staff are willing and helpful no matter the hour, breakfasts are plentiful and the location in the town and region,... more

I'm really surprised by the negative nature of the reviews. I think it is a case of people only writing reviews when they really like or really hate a place. This is not a posh 4* hotel - it is 50/60s built functional hotel. It is really in need of modernisation, however it is perfectly acceptable for a couple of... more

I stayed here with my teenage son last week as it was handy for Warwick University. We booked on the internet and luckily I took the printout of the reservation. The hotel tried to charge double the price until this was produced. Full price would have been extortionate for the quality of room and facilities. We were given a room... more

If you are even thinking of staying here, don't. I stayed here for 2 weeks on business as there was absolutely no place else available. It was a miserable 2 weeks. Hotel is very noisy as it is located on a major roundabout. Sunday nite there was a very loud party til 2AM Monday morning. Rooms are very hot &... more

Don't be fooled by the Mac Donald Branding, this hotel is a joke! We arrived late with a confirmed booking and were allocated a room on the 6th Floor - it was like an oven, no fan, no a/c. When we complained we were told there were no other rooms and that they don't normally let out 6th floor rooms... more
