My son and I stayed at this hotel to go to a gaming weekend in Coventry a short drive away.The staff were so helpful and pleasant .The room was very adequate for our stay warm cosy and stocked with water coffee tea sugar and lovely shower/bath gel and shampoos . This hotel is desparate need of a complete renovation, it is old and tired. I was due stay at the Grand Hotel, it's the sister hotel I beleive. My husband and I stayed here 6th March 2015 - for a couple of nights. We really like the hotel. The staff are lovely and always very polite. Marcia the waitress/receptionist was a great person. The breakfasts were lovely, a full English always keeps us going until tea time. Thank you for our stay

My partner had emailed hotel prior to arrival to ensure we were in a DOUBLE bed room and pref in the room we were in last time having visited more than once in the past. Was doing a Show at Stoneleigh Park and booked this on Late Rooms. Ideal location but the room 109 was disappointing. Only stud walls meant you could hear conversations from other rooms!! We have stayed in the 4 poster bed room on both occasions. Service is lovely. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Has a very nice Indian cuisine restaurant called 'The Coconut Lagoon'. Fortunately we stayed for 2 nights The staff is nice but the manager spent his time looking around (????) and chose the customers to welcome people... The good point is the location Every thing needs to be refurbished, the cleaning isn't done seriously and no use asking for other pillows or blanket, no additional ones ... we were very disappointed... Granted my company would have picked a basic room here but I have to say... Double room booked but given two singles pushed together. Mattresses were solid and pillows so thin and hard that I didn't get a good nights sleep at all. However, the staff were very friendly and a pleasure to chat to.
