Just got back from a 3 night 'last minute' stay and have to say that overall we enjoyed ourselves very much. The hotel is set in the heart of Old Kenilworth, near the castle and inside was full of character with lots of passageways and steps up and down, perhaps not the best for less able folks. The staff were... More

Very friendly helpful staff. Delightful little quaint hotel offering good quality accommodation at a reasonable price.

Helpful and pleasant staff and ok value for money (we got a discounted rate) although the room was a tad claustrophobic, too hot (I wouldn't want to stay in summer) and lacked a plug for the bath! Smoked Haddock was tasty for breakfast if somewhat similar to the room (ie small)!

I previously reviewed this hotel in March 2011 ("Undersized room") but took my own advice and decided to try them again. As my husband is partially disabled I decided to speak to them during the booking process to ensure that we had a suitable room (not too small, not with any stairs, preferably ground floor close to reception and restaurant)... Found this on laterooms, we decided at last minute to stay over in the area as we were planning a trip to the NEC for the Good Food Show. Very impressed with the room, small but perfectly formed. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom and all the bits and bobs required! It was very clean. We were told that there was only... More

I stayed in a single room, room 4. It was ideal, nicely furnished to a high standard. Warm and cosy. The en suite shower room was v clean and tidy. Reception staff helpful and pleasant. Car park small and v busy due to the popular Loch Fyne resturant. The only thing that let the 2 night stay down was the... More

We had travelled from Norfolk where we had experienced a very disappointing two nights. We were enroute to Devon. Reception was very welcoming and our room albeit up very steep stairs (the building is quite old so it cant be helped) was lovely. There might be a lift? We forgot to ask. Our room had a very modern colour scheme... More

Despite arriving late at the hotel, as we'd been to a party, we were made very welcome and the bar staff were happy to serve us a nightcap (note that the bar closes at 11.30 pm, even to residents). Our room was very comfortable, extremely clean, and all the furnishings were of very good quality. My husband particularly liked the... More

Have stayed at Milsoms over 10 times now and cannot fault the hotel itself, rooms very clean and comfortable, excellent location for exploring Kenilworth and beyond. However the Loch Fyne restaurant has let me down on many occasions, not good value for money and the quality and quantity of the food leaves a lot to be desired.Would stay here again but eat elsewhere.

The room was tiny, OK for one but it should never, ever, have been sold as a twin. We stayed there in a hot spell land it was stiffling. We could not leave the window open because it opened inwards immediately over one of the beds, which were less than 2ft apart. The room was well furnished with quality fittings....but... More
