The hotel is in a great location with short taxi ride to centre of town. All three rooms used by our party of three were all very clean and tidy, but when booking request a room at the back of the hotel as the front rooms can be a bit noisy with traffic on the busy Westgate Road. Off street... More

After reading reviews. Bit worried but was clean, and tidy. Met by friendly staff. Stayed a night on basic but comfortable single room. Not luxurious but good value hotel. Only slight issue was surrounding area as didn't seem nicest area, but overall good stay.

I know it's a long time since we stayed the night at Grainger Hotel in Newcastle, however I felt the need to prevent anyone thinking of staying the night here! Me and my partner couldn't get back to our local village because all public transport had stopped, we decided to book a room for a night, Grainger hotel was 'one'... More

This was ok for a one night stay but the room was small and the blinds over the opaque glass window didn't work, so worse than a prison cell. The room itself was clean and tidy and the en-suite bathroom was adequate and spotless. The bed was very comfortable, however. The hotel has no bar, just a lounge with television,... More

As the title says this place was ok for the price, it's not in a nice area and there's two big hills to walk up if walking from town. When we arrived at the hotel the staff were friendly, the room was small but clean and the bed was comfy. Just remember its a budget hotel and you get what... More

Even Dwight Yorke wouldn't be smiling in this armpit of a hotel!!!! It absolutely foyed, a scatty stray dog tried attacking me whilst waiting for my taxi and the taxi driver would not stop farting all throughout the journey!! The staff were so unfriendly and dodgy looking I even thought they would try stealing my toe nail clippings! The toilet... More

Greeted by the most aggressuve, unwelcoming and horrible man on reception. After having money snatched from my very hands we were given a cell sorry I mean room key. Stained sheets, dirty carpets , thin walls and a tiny window Breakfast was dismal and stale overall a hprrible stay

When we arrived at the hotel, the staff on reception was miserable and unfriendly. The lift was filthy; the carpet had obviously not been hoovered in a long time. Our room did not appear to have been hoovered properly either, there were white speckles of fluff/lint all over the floor. The door to the toilet was broken and did not... More

first it was for TOO far from everywhere in the city. second the neighborhood was pretty creepy, i was so scared when i was walking on the street to go to the hotel. the receptionists were not friendly at all: no smile, use of imperatives while talking. the bathroom of my room I'm pretty sure wasn't properly cleaned. both next...
