We had a one night stay here in order to visit Beamish museum. A lovely house, seemingly miles from anywhere yet only just off the beaten track. Can't fault our stay at all, a friendly hostess, a superb room and delicious breakfast. Will certainly return if ever re-visiting the area.

Thoroughly enjoyed my one night stay at Hedley Hall. Brenda was the perfect hostess providing a very warm welcome, a sparklingly clean room, a comfy bed and a fabulous breakfast. She recommended a wonderful Italian restaurant nearby and was attentive without being intrusive at all times. Do hope I can return here one day.

Last minute find and most definitely a gem find. Was a delight to stay in such peaceful surrounds. Very attractive cottages .Extremely clean and has every facility you need. Wonderful position, perfect supply of woods and tracks to go running/walking. Great visiting Beamish again and my trips down memory lanes from my childhood, having been born and lived in Gateshead. A huge room in a very lovely house. So clean it literally sparkles. Brenda the owner is quiet but super efficient and knowledgable. The property is hidden away so very quiet but within easy reach of a Beamish, Durham etc. Good directions provided for finding the house. The only negative comment is about the duvets which were heavy winter weight... More

A lovely b&b. Immaculate rooms with a touch of luxury, wonderful rural views and just a stones throw from Newcastle Town Centre. Can highly recommend. Only reason not to give 5 stars is problem with getting wi fi in room.

We stayed here when taking our daughter back to Northumbria University. It is only 7 miles from Newcastle. A bit of the beaten track, the owner Brenda met us with a smile and showed us to our room. Extremely comfortable bed, coffee/tea tray, bowl of fruit and bathroom room luxuries. Quiet peaceful location and a great pub close by (the... More

My wife and I stayed at Headley Hall enroute to Edinburgh and could not have found better lodging in Newcastle. Our room and the attached bath looked like they had just been remodeled and was absolutely spotless and sparkling! The surrounding grounds are scenic and well-kept. The proprietress, Ms. Brenda Fraser could not have been a better hostess. After a... More

Booked in prior to our cruise from Newcastle. Great B&B, Very clean, large room, and spoteless. Nothing was not thought of; including a great bathroom and toiletries. Breakfast was fine, and in a very pleasant dinning room...Why not 5 stars ??. Well, perhaps it was us, but we felt the owner could have been a little more friendly as we... More

What a wonderful place - well off the beaten track, very quiet and out in the countryside. Brenda (the owner), could not do enough for us. Her breakfasts were wonderful and her recommendation for an evening meal spot on. (The Black Horse - just a couple of miles away)

Hedley Hall is a beautiful former farm house that sits circa two miles from thr Beamish Museum. The inn is owned and operated by Mrs. Brenda Fraser. Mrs. Fraser does a fantastic job making her guests feel at home, Mrs. Fraser met me on arrival and showed me to my room, the room was light and airy and tastefully decorated,... More
