3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013 NEW

We stayed for two nights at East Byermoor. There are some good things about this B & B and some that we had difficulty with. The positive is that it is a very short drive to get into Newcastle, but you are staying in a country setting. However the property is on a road that gets very busy at 5... More

Having cycled 46 miles in awful weather and arriving late we couldn't have wished for a warmer welcome. Our dripping clothes were popped in the tumble drier and a pot of tea and slice of cake appeared within minutes. Jacqui and her mother in law even helped us order delicious food from the local italian takeaway. The room was beautiful... More

A fantastic family welcome with excellent facilities and a great breakfast. If I am ever in the Newcastle area I will use this guest house as it was clean and welcoming. Couldnt fault the caring attitude of the owners.

We stayed here this weekend and what a great find. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like old friends. The cottage is stunning, and the rooms are immaculate, with lovely furnishings and a super comfy bed. Breakfast on Sunday was to die for, we had so much we didnt eat again that day! We spent Saturday... More

I used the B&B for 4 nights, 2 on my own then my wife joined me for 2 nights. The room was clean and my wife (who has back problems) found the bed comfy and had 2 good nights sleep. The owners were pleasant and helpful. I'd certainly stop again

We visited here in early January as the first snows of 2013 took hold. Even though we were up on the moors, it was the perfect place to be - all main roads gritted, fantastic snowy views from the house and lovely hosts. The room was warm and the breakfast superb. Lots of things to do in the area, and... More

The East Byermoor Guest House was easy to find. It was located in quiet countryside, but within close proximity to Newcastle City Centre (about 15 mins drive). It was in an ideal location. Spent 1 night in the Byermoor room. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. Tea and cake were complimentary provided on arrival, which was very much appreciated... More

We were recommended to stay here by our usual B&B when they couldn't accommodate us. This is a warm family owned and run premises. Our room was clean and comfortable on both occasions that we visited. The breakfast was excellent and the sunny conservatory breakfast area gave opportunity to chat, eat breakfast, peruse the many newspapers and bird watch. We... More

We stayed here overnight on our way from Scotland. A delightful little place, lovely welcome with tea and cake in the dining room, just what was needed after a long journey. Comfortable room, great breakfast and the most hospitable owners. They obviously enjoy what they do and really put themselves out for their guests. Lovely garden, would have liked more... More

We had selected East Byermoor because of its close proximity to Beamish Museum. Although we arrived early we received a warm welcome and were shown to our comfortable room. We have stayed in B&Bs not only in UK but also in New Zealand and would number this as one of the best. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the... More
