Visited Newcastle the weekend of 4th July and stayed here with two of my daughters and our dog. We had a great weekend and were made to feel very welcome - dog not allowed in bedrooms and now allowed on furniture, which is perfectly acceptable and understandable. We stayed in the two bedroom cottage (sleeps 3). Whilst we didn't self-cater,... More

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome, we could not fault the room, nice comfy beds, lovely towels and spotlessly clean, my son made use of the lovely garden as the weather was so nice. The breakfast was wonderful nothing was too much trouble for the hosts, and to top it off we had a fantastic... More

Ever since we stayed at East Byermoor over the Easter weekend I have been trying to think of something original to say about it - but I have failed! I can only repeat that the family are very welcoming, especially Karl who could not do enough for us, our room was warm and comfortable with an excellent bed, the breakfast... More

The location was a little further out of Newcastle than I had imagined but that was hardly the fault of the hosts. Agree that the traffic noise is quite loud at the front of the house but again, we chose that room. We saw more of Karl than Jacqui and he was an extremely welcoming and attentive host. Also very... We are contractors I have to admit, but we do like somewhere comfortable and clean to stay. Our guess is that this is not a usual venue for contractors but we have been made more than welcome all the same. In a word FANTASTIC. A big thank you to Carl for getting up early to send us on our way... More

A last minute chance booking proved to be a real home from home, family run and you feel part of the family :) Very spacious warm and comfortable room, super breakfast, relaxed atmosphere and very reasonably priced. I will be back, thank you :) x

We stayed at the East Byermoor Guest House last August and we could not have asked for better hosts or a better room. We were even given a lift back from the city by host, Karl, after we couldn't cycle any further on our Coast to Coast trip! There were so many wonderful touches to our stay - afternoon tea,... More

I stayed there with a friend who was visiting her mother in October for 3 nights. This was the start of my trip and what a great impression I had of the UK. The reception we received on arrival was welcoming. Karl assisted us with our luggage which was a bonus. The room was a decent size and the beds... More

We stayed here is September 2013, everything was excellent, very clean, great views, beautiful breakfast room and a super breakfast. Karl and Jacqui made us feel very welcomed right away. They were just great with ideas, suggestions and were kind and friendly. This had a Great warm, inviting and rural feel. Thanks for everything Rick and Denise :)
