Stayed overnight -what a refreshing change from those identikit corporate hotels. Food was excellent-both the dinner menu and the breakfast, with homemade jams and excellent local smoked salmon. We were upgraded to a quirky room with an outside terrace. Staff were friendly and helpful. Although not the cheapest hotel, it felt like good value and we will visit again.

Stayed here for 1 night. Classic double room clean, reasonable size with a huge bathroom containing a large bath with a shower over it. Lovely range of toiletries with cotton pads and ear buds supplied. It is an old building that has been adapted so some noise from the corridors is to be expected but wasn't a disturbance. Tea and... Stayed during regular business trip and it was stunning unexpected pleasure. Hotel is in the charming old English building complex. Great stylish interiors. Still very well taken care of and clean. Big spacious room with high quality bedding and pillows. Outstanding service! What more to ask for?

We visited for dinner as we had been given gift vouchers for this hotel. We ate off the house menu and the food was delicious. We were served a tasty appetizer before our starter and a palate cleanser before dessert. We both had steaks and they were cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. Service was efficient, friendly and... More

Everything about the Jesmond dene house is exceptional. When booking I advised the front desk that it was a surprise for my partners 30th and on arrival she upgraded us to the noble suite where a hand written birthday message from the manager was waiting. The noble suite was gorgeous, spotless, luxurious just wonderful. The evening meal and breakfast were delicious but... More

Stayed here by chance and as someone who does a substantial amounts of of travel this has been one of the best hotels in the world. The hotel is delightful — think Downtown — the staff super friendly, and the location great for short walks. Nearby— 8 minute walk down leafy streets and old-school houses — there are shops both... It's probably a bit of a strange way to be reviewing Jesmond Dene House but this venue had been highlighted by myself and then selected as a family choice to host the reception/wake for my stepfather's funeral on Wednesday August 13, 2014. I found the staff there very professional and a pleasure to deal with. Having hired the Great Hall... More

A fabulous hotel at the top of the jesmond dene. Well trained and attentive staff. The building is beautifully furnished. Classic room a little on the small side but acceptable. Beautiful breakfast menu and fantastic presentation. After non tea looked a fine arrangement but our schedule did not mean that we tried it. Disappointed with the tasting menu - large... More
