I celebrated my 60th birthday with my family here recently. The whole day was superb everything from the food to the service was 5 star plus. The staff could not do enough for us and my whole family commented on how attentive and polite they had been. The food could not be faulted and i would recomend the establishment to... More

Yet another gift of afternoon tea here - it is a little pricey, but worth it. Our little girl loves their scones and races towards the end goal of the cakes. Always enjoy it, but the lounge certainly sets it off. What better way to enjoy an afternoon than with family, eating sandwiches, scones and cakes with enough tea to... More

We got married here in August and our intimate wedding was wonderfully organised and beautifully managed by the hotel, it was a magical day. The food was exceptional and highly praised by the guests, everyone loved the presentation and the discreet staff and the menu of whipped chicken pate and brioche, lamb served with summer vegetables and raspberry pavlova was... Our friends recommended Jesmond Dean House so we knew what to expect - or thought we did! This hotel exceeded our expectations in terms of location, the warmth of the welcome, excellence of food, quality of furnishings and ambience of rooms, level of professionalism and friendliness and expertise of staff. Would we stay here again? Just getting the diary out... More

We stayed in room 24 last night. This was a complete surprise that my husband booked. We had a lovely room. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is beautiful. We pulled up to look at the menu, then I was told it was where we were staying. It was just lovely from start to finish. We had... More

Had a fabulous couple of days here, and we loved our room (Room 1) which was at the back of the main house and looked out onto trees in Jesmond Dene Valley. We loved all the artworks they had all around the place, and it was a lovely blend of historic and modern. We ate there one night and the... More

This is undoubtedly the best hotel in Newcastle. It isn't walking distance from the centre, which means it's well clear of the hen parties etc. At weekends it can be a bit of a wedding factory, which has both pros and cons. We were upgraded free to a wheelchair accessible suite to avoid us having to change rooms mid stay.... More

Can't find any fault with the hotel. From the welcome we received to the helpfulness of the staff when we needed to leave our bags for a while, everything was a pleasure. The room (a deluxe one) was very very good and the hotel itself is a lovely old house to be in. The hotel is on the edge of... More

Without doubt a great experience. Yes a little highly priced. But worth every penny. Superb location. Easy access to jesmond dene.. Some brilliant morning walks. And some great local pubs if you need a venture out... The food is excellent quality, and further enhances your stay.
