Stayed at this hotel quite a few times now and I've never had a problem. The rooms are clean and tidy, it's fair value for money and the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. As for parking, it says when you book that if you require a parking space then you must previously book or... More

Within a reasonable walking distance from the railway station and the main shopping area. Great walks over all the bridges and along the quayside. Hotel was a little old fashioned but then its an old building! Staff all really friendly and helpful. Lot of stag and hen parties but no bother with any of them. Would certainly go back again.... I have stayed here a couple of times now and always find a friendly warm welcome with adequate free parking directly outside the hotel. Its situation is great for the local nightlife scene combined with flexible late bar if your require a night cap. Overall rooms are premiere style and you get what you will find at most Inns and... Excellent position for local pubs and centre of town with secure, gated parking. Cracking walk up and down the river side with modern eating and drinking houses. Town centre 2 mins walk. Will use again.

We were probably a bit testy when we arrived as the markets were on and we couldn't get to the hotel (didn't read the fine print) and there was no car park available despite requesting one months earlier. We almost needed a packed lunch to get to our room. On the plus side the staff were very friendly and helpful... More

To have stayed here during the hottest summer on record was unfortunate-no air con! Was stifled the first night like I have never experienced (and I've toured India and Nepal) Given an extra fan the next night meant we didn't have to listen to the traffic noise through the open window. Compared to say the Manchester Piccadilly PI-this one has... More

Yup - that's the best comparison I have for this hotel. Other than the caption "Don't do it" I didn't know what else to say! It is obvious that whomever owns this place has tried to up-do it with new bedding and a new faucet, but it doesn't take away from the reality: This is a crap hotel. This hotel... More

The building is a bit old, but lovely. Our rooms were very large with huge beds and views of the river and bridges, which was lovely. Lots or restaurants and bars nearby, which makes it great for an overnight stay. Just make sure you book your parking in advance as the garage is small and otherwise you have to park... More

Spent 2 nights here and it was fab. Brilliant location, great bars, restaurants and cafes on the Quayside and within walking distance (10 mins) of the city centre. Will definitely be back and so will other members of my family as I had no hesitation in recommending it.
