Once again looking for a place to stay while working local we came upon Ryton Park and what a find. We where checked in by lovely Lora a very cheerful and chatty young lady, the rooms where very clean and had all you wanted in them (a nice soft bed). There was a nice bar with a Very good bar... I frequently stay at this establishment on both business & pleasure trips. I would recommend that any visitor takes the time to have a walk around the old Ryton village during their stay. The staff are friendly & helpful in all respects. Recommended for both business & pleasure purposes the hotel is within easy reach of all northeastern tourist attractions... More

The hotel is in a nice quite area and not much noise heard outside. The room was adequate for my needs and they shower/bath worked fine. Plenty of towels and dressing gowns available. The TV in the room is small and if on the bed, it is hard to see. The breakfast was really good with some of the best... More

When the receptionist finally appeared (after another customer used his mobile phone to ring the hotel, given there was no response to the bell) she was very friendly, and all the staff we met were local and friendly. Our room was a good size, but had seen better days, there was a damp patch on the wall and ceiling, and... More

I booked a night in this hotel for myself, my wife and the kids as we were visiting for a family 70th birthday. The hotel on the outside has seen better days and looks very tired. The inside was not much better. The decor is dated along with the carpets. Every floor board creaks and it feels like you are... More

Just spent two nights at this lovely hotel as my hubby and I were attending a wedding nearby. I disagree with the comment below as we were in room 12 and we found the room to be of adequate size (could easily walk around the bed, which was extremely comfy and had lovely squishy pillows), the en suite was small... Used the Country Club for a visit to family in the village as I used to live in Ryton over 30 years ago, sadly the hotel looks very much the same and is in need of updating, saying this we just stopped for bed and breakfast and for £69 for a double room it was good value for money with... More

We only stayed for the one night as a couple. Upon arrival we noticed that the hotel was very clean and not at all pretentious and old fashioned in a quaint kind of way. At times the decor looked a little tired, a beautiful stained glass window at the stair head was very dirty for example and the corridors looked... More

I have been coming here for years with the family and again l was not disappointed. A party of 4, we sat in the lounge for our 3 course Sunday dinner. I had chicken gougons for starter which were beautiful, roast beef for main then followed by dimebar cheesecake, absolutely delicious and portions are very big. We couldn't have had... More
