A couple of days city break to see "Fascinating Aida" at The Theatre Royal, Newcastle. The Grey Street Hotel proved a real Find! Warmly greeted on our early arrival by receptionist Rachael, we were asked if we needed a hand with bags and the booking in formalties completed with a minimum of bother. The room was pleasant, clean bright and... More

If you need a good, well-priced hotel in the centre of Newcastle, this hotel is ideal. Parking is free overnight 100 yards down the road. Rooms are a good size, bathrooms are well-equipped. Breakfast offers a good selection, not just the usual. I've stayed here for a number of years and will return again.

On the week-end of the 10th to 12th of October we had a family week-end stay in this hotel, we all found it to be a very clean and comfortable, and the service we received at breakfast, the staff were very obliging and friendly, overall we would stay there again if we came to Newcastle

The hotel is ideally situated a short walk from the railway station and close to the city centre and bars and restaurants. We chose not to have breakfast supplied by the hotel but opted to have it at a nearby Wetherspoons (The Union Rooms) which was a short walk away near the railway station. The room (No 27) was small... More

Stayed here for a night last minute. Booked through a booking site and arrived before estimated check in. There was no issue though. We were booked in quickly and shown to our room on 3rd floor think it was room 224 it was beautiful. Large superking bed with feather pillows and duvet. Flat screen TV and dvd player. Large desk... We booked a "junior suite" for 3 in advance. The description included living space and...even...freshly ground coffee. Cost £180.00. Upon arrival only 2 persons marked on the booking slip. Without any discussion we were given keys to a room on 5th floor which was clearly not a junior suite. When we called to enquire and the receptionist said "oh yes,... More

We are really sorry you didn’t feel your experience with us was up to your expectations. When housekeeping went to service the Junior Suite an issue with the toilet was identified. We actually attempted to have this fixed before your arrival but due to the nature of the problem it wasn’t possible. As we explained to you on arrival, both... More
