We stayed for one night last week as I didn't want to drive home after a Friday night Christmas party. The hotel lies in the centre of Newcastle but is not well lit or signposted, so that we drove past it three times without noticing it. With a phone call to the hotel we finally located it. The hotel itself... More

After reading other peoples negative reviews (after I had already booked!) I was a bit unsure about what this hotel would be like. I found this hotel to be exactly what I needed it for! Upon arrival I was told they could upgrade my room and so I was given room 29. The room was lovely well presented, perfect temperatureand... More

We have been using this hotel once or twice a year for a few years, it is modern hotel, with a fairly quirky if somewhat confusing layout, It's a bit like a rabbit warren due to the design of the lovely old building. It's location is perfect for shopping, the quayside and nights out and of course enjoying the stunning... More

Very disappointed. Reception poor - looks like a youth hostel. We were given room 10, but upon opening the door were surprised that someone else was already occupying the room. Returned to reception and had to wait 20 minutes for another room to be authorised - they really had no idea who was in our original room! No apologies given.... More

Hotel is in a great location for visiting Newcastle. Website describes as boutique with flat screen t.v.'s and bathrobes. Reality is a hotchpotch of tv;s ask reception if you want a bathrobe! Rooms 1 and 2 are connecting but both really dull and noise from kitchen extractor fan is unacceptable as are nestling pigeons on outside glazing. No room service... More

The location of this hotel is amazing and very handy for the shops and lovely restaurants on Dean Street. However, although the design and size of the room and bathroom were fine it was all showing signs of neglect! The shower leaked down the wall and my second day was only running cold water. The free shampoo etc is lovely... More

Great hotel, great staff, brilliant location!! It was so close to everything that we didn't have to get taxis anywhere only to and from the airport. It wasn't perfect the lift was tiny and had to walk up 3 flights of stairs when there was more then 3 of us. Wifi was working but was abit slow sometimes. No fridges... More

Location is very convenient but poor you if you need more than the very basic service from the staff. Phones are not answered, and if they are, the staff is too busy with other customers and ask you to call again at other time; email confirmations and receipts are not sent as promised and have to be chased; breakfast prices... Perfect location, right on the corner of Grey Street and Molesey street which have great bars and restaurants. 5 minute walk from all the shops and the quays. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Our room was very nice, bathroom was located upstairs, which wasn't great when I caught food poisoning! (From another restaurant) we had dinner and a drink in... More
