one night stay booked for a night out in Newcastle , reception staff really friendly and very helpful Room on 4th floor was clean and well presented with good standard of facilities etc. a little lick of paint here and there wouldn't go amiss but it is in a old Victorian bank and generally the whole hotel had a trendy... Staff couldn't do more for us, very welcoming. Rooms are plain but all we needed, very central. However we were on the 4th floor & there was a fan outside which was very noisy at night, disrupted our sleep. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & will be back !! Thank you

Needed a hotel for one night and this place was perfect and great value for money. It's right in the heart of the city and close walk to everything. Staff were friendly, rooms were clean, and bed was comfy! What more could I ask for? :)

Stayed 6 to 8 Feb. Travelled as 2 couples. Hotel is in a excellent location for bars restaurants and shopping. Rooms are spacious clean and have everything you need. Hairdryer iron etc. The only thing to be aware of is if you are at front of the building be prepared for road noise and on weekends pubs emptying and people... More

The location of this hotel is great for theatre, bars and eating places. The hotel itself was a let down. Our room was roasting hot and the bathroom was worse. No way of altering the temperature. The room was clean and had everything needed: iron, hairdryer, tea making facilities and bottled water. The best thing about the stay was that... More

It didn't start well. I had filtered hotels with my booking site to only include places with a car park. This hotel doesn't have one. After a six hour drive and a midnight arrival my annoyance was showing. But it was dealt with brilliantly by the Hotelier who had kept reception open knowing I was on my way - and... More

Just needed 1 night in a Newcastle Hotel and this was the one chosen by colleagues. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. I requested a quiet room and was given a 5th floor room which was fine. Everything I needed and a decent sized room for 1 night. Breakfast wasn't great - I should have stuck to cereal and tea.... More

We stayed for a long weekend. We were welcomed by Rachael who was the nicest receptionist we've come across! Got a free upgrade to a deluxe room, which was a bonus. Its a lovely big room with a good sized bathroom, only thing that let it down were the numerous dirty marks on all the walls. Really does need painted again. Shower... More

Booked last minute midweek as we had some issues with our house and needed to stay elsewhere for the night. Room was cheap for a 4 star hotel so we were pleased. Reception is nice but the receptionist was dressed very casually which we found strange for a 4 star hotel. The room was decent and clean. However there were... More
