What a lovely hotel. visiting family from near by jarrow. Danielle was great giving us directions to the local restaurant even taking us outside to be sure we didn't get lost. It would of been nice if we knew dogs could stay at hotel as i didn't see it stated on the website. look forward to visiting again in the... More

Excellent welcome & service by Mark. We couldn't of asked for a better service, your guaranteed an enjoyable stay. He made sure we were comfortable & sorted out our extra beds as well as heating up our food as we got there really late after a show. Definitely recommended!

I stayed here recently and the place was fine and clean, the receptionist was very helpful, would stay here again, being at the end of the motorway after a long drive is handy as you can pop over to the Lakeside or Cock Crow pub for meals and be back in your room in 5 minutes !

This Travel Lodge was refurbished in 2014. It is an ideal location just off the A1 for travelling but only if you have a car as it is not central for shopping or public transport. Nice stopping off point with very comfortable beds. There is an adjacent Subway and Burger King if you like that sort if thing. Prices of... More

I stayed at this Travelodge with a large group for a hen do over the weekend. Seems popular at the weekend for party guests. Rooms were fine, but dated but comfy beds and clean throughout. Staff were very accommodating with such a large rowdy group. They got us all into our rooms very quickly and suggested mini bus taxi for... More

Good location next to major road junction. Had room at rear of hotel, so there was no traffic noise audible. Easy to use free parking outside. No buffet but Subway and Burgerking on site, and other cafes/restaurants short drives away

We stayed here for a long weekend and had to bring our dog. Staff couldn't have been nicer and made things so much easier for us with having the dog. Danielle and Jaide were exceptional and the rest of the staff were great. Room was lovely and quiet away from the busy part for our dog's ease. Only fault I... More
