We arrived on the Friday evening to a warm friendly welcome and shown straight to our room which was number 13 over in salmon cottage. Lovely, bright and very clean with a nice bathroom and a red hot powerful shower. The TV was really small though. We had arranged to meet friends in the restaurant and once seated was met... More

A great place to stay if you are walking Hadrian wall, and heading west to east we stayed two nights getting a Taxi back. If heading east west a 12 mile walk from Walls end. At least 6 real Ales rooms are clean, Breakfast and evening ,meals of good standard. The staff are very friendly and are only too willing... More

I stayed for three nights following a recommendation from a business colleague. . The service was genuinely friendly and service attentive. The room was pleasant and well appointed. I enjoyed three good value for money meals and good cooked breakfasts. The beer made at the company brewery was absolutely excellent. The location close to a country park and the River... More

The worst pub Sunday lunch i have had in a long time. It looked unappetizing and it was, small portions, tasteless, wouldn’t go back or recommend it. Possibly as menu too big and large restaurant so somethings got to go and its the food.

My friend and I ate at the Keelmans recently and it was very unimpressive! Both our meals were poorly presented, even for an average pub lunch, and her ham and my beef were both tasteless and chewy. The head service guy was also more than a little brusque in his manner. We won't be returning.
