A lovely hotel, great reception staff, nice to stay in a hotel away from the groups of guys we seen checking in at hotel. When first checking in the many groups of men made me feel wary but once in our room and going in/out hotel incredibly safe. Not too far a walk from town centre and lots nearby including... More

We stayed 2 nights after returning late from Ibiza and had some 50th birthday celebrations in Newcastle. Lovely room all the staff were friendly and helpful. We were on the 7th floor and my only moan would be the heat in the hotel made it very uncomfortable. There is no aircon and you can only open the window a couple... More

Clean bedding. Usually dust and debris free. Ask for upper quiet room to avoid stag and hen parties. Breakfast is mass produced, teeny plates and not value for money. Check in staff differ in their approach so very good to very bad. Bar food is dreadful. Bar prices outrageous. Hairdryer runs for two minutes then packs up. Why stay here?... More

Stopped Friday night with work. The hotel is very popular with stag and hen do's but didn't hear any noise. The food was very very good, the 10 people I was with all enjoyed their evening meal. Good value £20.95 for a 3 course meal. Had a good night sleep, shower was great, no air con but not the end... More

OK so leaving the comments about hot rooms aside (come on, how often do we have these temperatures in the UK? My room was fine albeit in the shade overlooking the entrance), the hotel is in a perfect location for the city centre, the rooms are clean, the beds are good, the bar serves good beer and the food was... It's been said before in these reviews, and, I know it's summer, but the room we stayed in (622) was ridiculously hot, and made sleeping very difficult. The windows open around 4 inches at most, however, there is so much traffic noise, even in the early hours of the morning, that leaving it open wasn't an option anyway. The corridors also... More

Great Location apart from the Noisy road outside , but secondary glazing provided if you want to keep the noise out and the excessive heat in. The room was so hot It felt like we were in a sauna , no air flow through the partially open window and with the loud road outside the window not much sleep either.... More

We paid for an "upgraded" room which meant we got an extra single bed in the room !!??? I could be mistaken but the bed didn't seem like a king bed as described either. We were put on the top floor and overlooking a bridge. The downside to this was at night it seemed to be used as a racetrack... More

Booked two nights. Would rather have not gone back for the second. Big hotel, impersonal. Both rooms were doubles despite one being booked for an adult plus child and reception wouldn't change. Roll away bed provided but was broken Very noisy, couldn't sleep with window open Worst Jury's I've stayed in. Agree pictures are misleading.
