We found this hotel by accident, whilst visiting the Bellway site next to the hotel, and will need a place to stay whilst the houses are being built. It is a very handy pleasant hotel, with a very large car park, and access to all areas in Newcastle because it is next to a Metro station. We liked the food... more

I booked this hotel in Newcastle as my boyfriend was in the Great North Run. It was booked in March. On the internet it looked like a nice hotel, says its 10 minutes from central, nice rooms and restaurant attached. What a perfect place you say to your self. I got there on the Friday and was surprised by the... more

I was looking for a cheap hotel that wouldn't fuss over my very late arrival... this place fit the bill. Yes, the room was a tad shabby and the tv didn't work, but the shower was great and the breakfast was good. No noise in the hotel, and contrary to reviews on here, it is not difficult to find if... more

We stayed at the Hadrian Lodge for one night, as we were in Newcastle for a quick visit to see some friends. The Hotel was tricky to find, it appears to be in the middle of an industrial estate. It is also quite out of the way of local attractions/amenities, however it is right opposite the metro station so it... more

Stayed for 1 night whilst in Newcastle for a concert, booked at last minute so not very many places left, this one was one of the cheapest and right across from the Metro. Cant say I was impressed with where the Lodge was (seemed to be in an industrial area - from the photos I expected it to be in... more

You pay for what you get. We chose this hotel as it was less expensive than others in the area. Stayed two nights and although the rooms were basic the staff were really freindly. The food was excellent, fantastic cooked breakfast but also alternatives if you want a healthier start to the day. We eat both evenings in the hotel... more

We stayed here for one night before setting off to walk Hadrian's Wall. It's a good location for that, only five minutes from the start. The accommodation is basic, and breakfast was average to poor (with a strange note about not taking all the fruit!), but for the price it's really about what you'd expect. No complaints, but I wouldn't... more

A group of 9 of us stayed for two nights in April. When we arrived the hotel looked a little dated but once we got inside the freindliness of the staff more than made up for it. They were all very helpful and polite. The rooms are a little dated but spottlessly clean. Breakfast was one fo the best I... more

This hotel must be the sister hotel of the infamous Fawlty Towers, only thing missing was Basil, although there was a Manuel type character. Although the Red Light district around the corner was handy at closing time. Altogether a must for any "Towers" fan. Nice and clean, handy for Newcastle city centre. more
