Booked a 'family' room to break up a long journey from Leicester to Aberdeen for myself, my husband and our two children, aged 10 and 5. On check-in I was impressed with the hotel's appearance and the receptionist was friendly enough. However, as we opened the door to our 'family' room we were immediately disappointed. There in front of us... More

Going for a girlie break (The big 50 celebration) I cannot fault the service, food and spa staff, however the break was spoilt by a very rude man! (Club member) Told to keep quiet in the steam room (Aggressive and abrupt language)- If only he had manners :(. Would think twice before staying again. This was our 3rd visit in... More

I stayed here for one night while on business nearby. The room was fine, a bit beaten up and tired but the bed was quite comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean. You are barraged by signs EVERYWHERE to upgrade to the higher floors and I wondered if they kept the lower floors particularly shabby to encourage upward mobility.... More

Great party night out with friends for the Christmas function 70s night in fancy dress. Breakfast was the full effect and of a good quality with a high standard of service from the hotel staff. The village pub was good service and atmosphere during the day

Overall enjoyed our stay here. There were some good points, some bad points so can understand the mixed reviews. The bed was really comfortable, one of the best anywhere. And that was in a standard room. The room was a reasonable size but sound insulation was poor with noise from the corridor and the room above particularly bothersome. There was... More

I stayed here 6th April 14. We got an offer on a sunday night the room only was £35 for an upper deck room or £15 for a standard room with terms and conditions that you had to spend £50 on food/drink in the hotel. This was fine for us spend the £50 on an evening meal and drinks in... More

My wife and I stayed here on Valentines Day. The room was clean and very nice. We had a drink in the bar then onto a meal in the restaurant. Overall a very pleasurable experience. I look forward to my next stay here.

This is a standard main stream hotel. Does what it says on the tin. This is the place to stay if you going to attend a wedding or get smashed on booze and just need somewhere to sleep. The room was a reasonable size but only had a bed and one chair. Enough space left for a small dance floor.... More
