We managed to get a cheap room(£69) for an overnight stay at the last minute. The initial impression we gained from the reception/lobby area was good - clean and modern. However, it all went a little downhill when we reached the bedrooms. The bedroooms had very limited facilities and were very dated compared with the rest of the hotel. We... more

I stay in this hotel every few weeks as it’s close to where I have to visit for business reasons, I don’t normally bother reviewing business hotels but in this case I will make an exception… It’s a pretty normal hotel, the rooms are clean enough, the service is reasonable… but the food is dire, the quality of the restaurant... more

Overall, this is a pretty good hotel, although accessible only with your own transport. Nothing to uneventful ,though in my room, there was no hotel guide or notes, which meant no details on how to access the wifi etc. etc. I'm guessing this was just forgotten about by the cleaning staff earlier in the day. If working nearby would recommend... more

We have just returned from out 2nd stay at this hotel. This is a great place to stay with kids as the leisure centre is great for them and allows us to relax. The gym is well equipped and was not busy in a Sturday afternoon. This time we had a bar meal in the Victory bar which was very... more

The reception staff were very good. The food also was ok - especially for the price. The rooms were better than average and quite spacious. The problem came with the breakfast - the breakfast doesnt open untill 7 am, but it appeared that the waitresses were far too busy (sitting down), and a small crowd gathered outside the doors, waiting... more

On the way back from Hogmanay in Glasgow, my partner and I spent one night at the Village Hotel. We were due to spend a night at the central Travelodge, but decided that due to the reviews on this site, we would lose the money we had already paid and book a double room at this hotel with breakfast for... more

We stayed for two nights while attending a family wedding. The hotel has great leisure facilities with a large pool, but we had no time use these. The double room was spacious with a large sofa and table. (I guess the sofa doubles as a childs bed settee) The window was quite small but the window did actually open and... more

I stayed at this hotel in Sept 2008 for a business trip. It is a great hotel with some exceptions. The Pros: Pub on site - good food and beer! Restaurant on site - only ate there once for breakfast but the dinners sounded delicious! full size indoor swimming pool with hot tub, and excerise facility good location - easy... more
