I must admit I wasn't sure what to expect from a chain hotel, but we were nicely surprised. The staff are so friendly & really want to look after you, at reception, in the bar & restaurant too. The rooms are very nice, well appointed. Corridors are squeaky, but not that troublesome. We had very nice breakfasts - can definitely... More

We enjoyed a one-night stay in the Indigo, well located in Grainger Town, close the train station and the metro and opposite the historic Assembly Rooms (now a noisy night club). The decor is contemporary minimalism with figurative flourishes. Our ‘executive’ room was well furnished, although the ‘king’ bed was smaller than it should have been. The shower-only bathroom had... We visited the hotel for afternoon tea last Saturday, what a great experience. Greeted on arrival by Bruno who made us very welcome, sat us down and explained the style of service. My wife is the expert having sampled many local afternoon tea offers ( I was a stand in for a sick friend, not that I am complaining !)... More

My first stay at Indigo Newcastle upon Tyne and I'm sure it won't be my last. From the moment I walked through the.... door, great, Charming & efficient greeting at reception. The room was well appointed, clean with a lovely comfy bed/pillows,fluffy towels in the rain fall shower room and a fridge with snacks. A drink at the bar pre... More

The hotel is very modern and well maintained. The staff are friendly and the location is close by the station and a short walk to the city center(monument). The only fault is on the weekends the hotel can be load and the outside noise can disturb your sleep. Not a problem if you are in town for a good time... More

I stayed at the indigo for 1 night on the 21st March and it m really is an excellent hotel, very comfy beds, friendly staff and high quality bathroom products provided. The only let down I had is that nearly every member of staff was trying to plug their own restaurant, I think we were asked 5 times in the... More

Booked one night stay for a quick visit to watch Newcastle United. Very modern hotel in a great position, very close to Central Station/Metro and a short walk to all of Newcastle's many attractions, including St James's Park. Reception and room were both excellent as was breakfast. We didn't eat in the hotel as we had already booked a restaurant... More

Clean, modern quirky hotel, carparking on site, close to main train station all the main shops, bars and restaurants, also a short walk from quayside and football stadium. Rooms are modern and well equipped, bright and airy, comfortable bed, lovely big shower. Decent bar/ restaurant area just off reception, breakfast made fresh to order.

Have stayed here quite a few times and staff always friendly and accommodating, nothing is too much of a problem. The reception and bar area always really busy, they do afternoon tea which looks amazing. My partner was exhausted after a busy week and this place is ideal to chill in, no hassle plenty of nightlife or not on your... More

Stayed one night here in an excetutive suite, which was very nice. Lovely decor and pretty central for pubs and resturants. Staff very polite and full English breakfast included for £113 for two. Certainly would recommend and would love to stay longer. Newcastle is an excellent city for shopping and the Metro Centre is a short local bus ride away.
