My partner and I stayed here for one night when we came to watch my brother’s graduation ceremony at Newcastle University. The first thing I would say is how friendly the owner/manager (?) was. It was a great welcome. The room itself was a bit tired but clean with everything you needed for a night’s stay. The bed was very... More

My friend and I stayed at this hotel when we went on a girly weekend. The hotel is clean and basic. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great cooked breakfast which was included in the price. It's situated on a quiet street outside the city centre it costs around £6-£7 in a taxi into the city center. Well pleased with hotel.

Four friends stayed here for one night to go to a concert at the Radio Metro Arena. We had a great experience. Michael, the receptionist, was very helpful, informative and couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were more than adequate.....clean and fresh, with soap and shower gel supplied, together with clean fluffy white towels, and an extremely comfy bed.... More

Myself and my husband stayed at the Dene Hotel for 4 nights which included breakfast. Our room was a good size and it was clean. Service was friendly and helpful. Overall a good b&b for the price you pay, no complaints.

This hotel is generally tired and need of a full make-over in terms of decorating and customer service team. I met with your gentlemen, who cannot be referred to as customer service assistants as they had no customer service skills. This is a budget hotel that is of a poor standard. Would not recommend, cheap but poor quality and service.... More

I spent one night for business. It did the trick. A good nights sleep and a good fried breakfast. Got a good rate through LateRooms.com. Wi-FI worked well in room. Very clean but a little care worn in places. Could not get modern LCD TV to work in colour! Dead lock on door did not work as did not slide... More

Had a one night stay midweek to attend a Newcastle match. Looked for somewhere that we could drive to easily, that was within walking distance of the match and was not expensive. The Dene fitted the bill in all respects. We were coming from the north and it was easy to get to off the dual carriageway -even with my... More

Stayed here for one night and although I arrived earlier than the check-in time, I was checked in without any problem and helped with my baggage by the friendly lady 'manager'. Room had all the essentials, including a comfortable double bed and was clean. The bathroom with small wet-room shower with wonderful hot water and modern fittings was really nice.... More
