Excellent hotel, we stayed for one night with Friends from work. Rooms were lovely and the staff couldn't do enough to make our stay a happy one. Would reccomend and will go back as soon as we get the chance more

Not the standard hotel chain business offering. Bedroom fitted to a high standard. Bed was so comfortable and the shower was amazing. I'm accustomed to the standard business offering at Hilton, Hyatt, Crowne Plaza, Marriott, but this was a class apart. more

The Malmaison is in a great position , situated on the quay overlooking the Millennium bridge with views of the Tyne bridge , the whole hotel is decorated in dark purple with the reception area looking like a french brothel circa 1930 , reception were pleasant , my room (503) was on the corner with great views of both bridges... more

Great place. Location is excellent and restaurant is reallly good with great staff. Obviusly Malmaison plays on the uber cool dark and moody look, so don't be shocked. We booked the summer dining offer and so git a 3 course meal and breakfast plus a room for around £150. Bargain! more

I have stayed in other hotels in the Malmaison chain and have always enjoyed my stay but I was completely underwhelmed by the Newcastle Hotel. Sorry its taken so long, but just wanted to say that this was a really cool hotel that managed to combine a sophisticated hotel with a real feel of personality and genuineness. Great room, fabulous view of the bridge and very tasty breakfast. Very good value for money as well. more
