We are regular travellers and stayed here for a wedding on 19th October. Check is in not until 3pm and the wedding was earlier than this. We knew this in advance but left booking a hotel a little late. I called the week before and understandably there was no guarantee of an early check in due to check out being... More

As a seasoned traveller and a supporter of small independent hotels, I can sometimes give the benefit of the doubt to minor issues, but in this case I cannot. The location is good if you like night life as it is directly on the quayside, but that is where the positives end I'm afraid. Nightmare to drive too as you... More

Finding this hotel is no fun. It's right on a junction with a set of traffic lights and nowhere to park. If you happen to be coming from the right direction, you have to park on the footpath and make your way to the first floor reception to sort things out and find out where you can park. The room... The hotel was not easy to find. Once you find it you need to park on the pavement just outside in order to go to reception, which is on the first floor of the hotel. Once you're in reception it was clear from the sound of music that was audible from next door (on the way up the stairs) that it... More

Cosy friendly hotel less than a minute from the quayside and bridges. 10 minutes walk from city centre (frequent buses from quayside to city for those who don't walk!) Great value for money, excellent breakfast. No other meals provided but lots of good eating places nearby. Welcoming helpful staff and will certainly stay there again.

Admittedly after reading some trip advisor reviews after my partner had booked the hotel had left me apprehensive to say the least. However after we were checked in by a friendly receptionist, we found the room to be more than adequate for our one night stay, the hotel was looking slightly worn, it was obvious that they were in the... Wish I'd read other trip advisors comments on this hotel before booking as I would never have stayed. Smelt damp on arrival, dark and uninviting entrance experience improved marginally by the very pleasant and friendly receptionist (who probably felt sorry for us). The rooms were awful, small, smelly, badly decorated obvious signs of patched up damage on doors and walls.... More

Stayed here for a stag do, the £30 each bond was a bit steep but as we aren't a bunch of idiots there was no issue in getting it back and I understand that stag do groups expect this kinda thing. Room was clean, the hotel itself is a little dated but the staff are friendly and helpful. It's good... More

My husband and I were very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. The pictures tell the story really. The foyer and staircases smelt absolutely awful and when we got to the room, we found it was filthy. There was a thick layer of dust around the edges of the carpets, a disposable razor blade cap in the shower -... More

Booked this Hotel as i was working In Newcastle, the usual one I book was full. I found the Hotel, eventually, with the help of my Daughter. The Hotel is situated on the main road, opposite the Lower road bridge, in between pubs. The car park is opposite the hotel, in am area used by the Hotel, check this when... More
