Really friendy hotel and incredible value. Julie (think that's her name) on reception gave us the best welcome ever and looked after us from start to finish. 5 star service and a top breakfast for only £7. Rooms are simple but fine and have everything you need. For £25 a night each this is superb value. Staff make you feel... More

Despite a warm welcoming, the exit was somewhat let down. We arrived at 9:58 for breakfast to be told we were too late and there wasn't anything anyone could do. Despite prepaying for a breakfast, we had to vacate the hotel and scrounge for ourselves. This hotel definitely doesn't go the extra mile.

We stayed for 1 night. The check in was quick and staff friendly. The hotel has parking over the road from them (£5 for over night and next day). The location is perfect. The room was comfortable and clean but as others have mentioned its in need of a refurbish. Breakfast was included and was okay cooked to order.

We stayed here for one night. The price was very good through booking.com and included a very substantial full English breakfast. The hotel is well located for restaurants and the Quayside. The bedroom was quite small, very hot and a bit " tired" with poorly filled cracks on the ceiling. Very small bathroom with modern taps/shower but, again, needed a... More

Wasn't expecting a lot for the price but pleasantly surprised by the value. The room was great looking and cozy, the single bed was comfy and overall I had a very good sleep. The location is also good, near the train station, bars and shops and the beautiful river Tyne is practically straight outside! There's also a complimentary breakfast which... More

This hotel is ideally located near loads of bars and restaurants in the Quay area. The room (201) was ok size wise and was clean but was very run down. The small double bed was solid with a thin soft mattress on top and as a result didn't provide a great sleep. Skirting boards and general room decoration really needs... More

We booked this room through Laterooms for a great deal, but found the rates were very reasonable anyway. You could book direct for a great rate, too. The rooms were lovely, very clean and tidy with strategically placed furniture to maximise space. The staff were friendly and helpful, we felt very welcome and the late night bar and lounge were... Hotel was very run down from the previous time we have stayed. Bedrooms were terrible. Skirting boards had chipped paint and looked awful. Bath was dirty and shower screen didn't hardly move. Taps loose, bed uncomfortable, light shades where broken, not a very nice room to put guests in. This was room 205. The staff however were lovely very polite... More
