We stayed here last Friday for 1 night and will not be returning. Decor is reasonably up to date and the location is great for visiting the local bars and restaurants. However the lift looks dangerous, rubbish bag was left outside our hotel room, bathroom door would not close and the night porter was particularly rude. He even threatened to... More

Booked into this hotel over the Great North run weekend. Understandably prices were higher than normal but £350 for 2 nights a triple room is a disgrace for what is on offer. Pulling up to the hotel we were already dubious and entering the reception made it no better. As we walked in a member of staff dumped a bin... More

We have just returned from a weekend break in Newcastle and have to say that after reading the reviews about the hotel was a bit apprehensive as to what to expect. We were greeted at the reception by a pleasant young lady who was being supported by a young man who seemed to be showing her what to do, so... More

not a good example if a hotel, nasty cheap rooms charged at way over what they are worth. difficult to get into and move around, loads of steps inside and out and a lift thats out of the arc. breakfast was overpriced too. avoid, much better hotels out there

I booked a superior twin room here on Saturday night (16th August 2014) as i had a friend staying from London. I planned to drive up and for us to stay overnight, enjoy the Newcastle nightlife (meal, couple of bars etc) then go to the Quayside market the following day. On arrival it took ages to check in - mainly... More

The staff were excellent very friendly and polite. The room was clean and the shower was excellent tea making facilities and biscuits. The lift was broken all the time I was there. It was a dated hotel but for the price good value. Wifi free and good flat screen TV. I stayed at the back of the hotel on first... More

Waste of time. Unless you have 2 hours to wait for the dipstick to check you in and charge you incorrectly ..... Rooms are dirty. Noisy. Smelly. Location is good but please, for your own sake, book in anywhere else. Anywhere. Anywhere else. Anywhere.
