I stayed in this hotel for a one night work stopover so I wasn't expecting anything too flash! I had a single room which was spacious - not the usual converted broom cupboard! Both the room and bathroom were clean. Just a couple of niggles - the bathroom door didn't close properly, this obviously wasn't a huge problem as it... more

I stayed in this hotel at the recommendation of my sister who used to live in Newcastle (actually just round the corner from the hotel in Jesmond) and she had also had to travel and stay there several times due to work. She had stayed here before and recommended it as the rates are charged by room and not per... more

My husband booked this hotel as a surprise for me so we could celebrate New Years Eve in newcastle in the pubs and clubs, we are both only a young 38 and enjoy a drink and partying but also like to stay in superior establishments. My hubby booked a superior room through a travel website at £88 per person for... more

I was a bit worried after reading the last few reviews on here, especially the ones about noise as I had to get up early for work and wanted to sleep! So, I sent the hotel a polite email asking for a quiet room. I was also expecting the staff from hell, although my previous experience of Newcastle made me... more

Stayed here on a saturday night as working in Newcastle early on Sunday - rooms booked and paid by company. On arrival had to produce own credit card even though they had the company one written down. Couldn't find my room due to the fact the girl sent me to the wrong floor - not entirely her fault, who on... more

This hotel was in an excellent location. The bars and restaurants in the hotel were nice but probably too noisy for early risers! Loved the fact we could have food from any of the restaurants brought to our room at no extra cost. The rooms themselves were clean - nice bathrooms but the decor was seriously outdated and garish. Had... more

Hotel looks great from the outside, interior tired and noisey (pubs and restaurants attached and surrounding hotel) Staff unhelpful, and rude. Area full of students, so very noisy at night. Not the place to book if you've a business meeting at 8.30am more

Almost identical to another awful review! Company paid up front but hotel wanted me to guarantee room with my credit card. They even asked me for £50 cash!I was allowed to go to my room eventually which was an explosion of color and about 25 years out of date and a little tired looking. Chipped paint and very small. Seconds... more
