We visited recently for a weekend stay in Newcastle and while the hotel isn't the fanciest hotel you will stay in it is great value, clean and has comfy beds.... couldn't ask for much more :). I would stay here again.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Went to see a football match, with an 8 year old on a weekend. Staff explained they would put us in a quieter part of the hotel as there was the inevitable stag/hen do's. Thankfully the room was quiet and clean. Also had the breakfast which was good, although it was a little busy.... More

First the good points: location is close to the river, car parking is reasonable for city centre hotels (£5 per day is pretty good), our room was clean and the new beds at Travelodges are very comfortable but that's it, I'm afraid. Luckily our room was on the first floor (of four) as quite often the lift was not working... More

A basic room clean, extremely comfy bed with a variety of pillows. Plenty of milk and tea and coffee and an excellent shower. Close to the centre (10 min walk) and right beside the Quayside area and pubs etc. We had a room at the back of the hotel and apart from road noise was quiet. We were there on... More

The rooms are clean and comfortable. It as a very busy Friday night in central city area, however the room was quiet . Excellent location to explore the city . The £5.00 parking fee for 24 hours was easy and good value.

We had heard bad things about this Travelodge but it was actually very nice for such a cheap hotel. The beds were comfy with thick pillows and the rooms were clean and had more than we expected (TV, kettle etc) for 40 pounds/night. The only small problem is parking. The hotel carpark is ran seperately and you have to pay... More

Rooms have obviously been upgraded and are modern and spotlessly clean - and they look exactly as they do in the advertisements! Large room with comfortable bed and very clean modern bathroom. My only comment was a bit of road and customer noise from a near by cafe / restaurant as I had a room at the front but this... More

Interestingly, this is the third time I've written this review and it keeps getting deleted. Mouldy bed linen, food managed to be both uncooked and burnt on the same plate. Had to use the service lift which had food splattered all over it. A hole in the bedroom wall. The desk was hanging off the wall and peppered with cigarette... More

This Hotel is ideal for a visit to Newcastle. Its right in the heart of the Quayside area, The room was very clean and had a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was very clean with an easy to operate shower. We will definitely stay there again for a longer stay next time we had a great time.
