Despite being sited several floors above a major traffic interchange in central Newcastle this hotel afforded me a restful night. The hotel is well located for the city centre, though it is blessed with immediate access to key roads it lacks immediate grounds or gardens. It is I think 8 storeys high, my room was on the 6th floor overlooking... more

Overall a good hotel, the only let down being the breakfast that i had prepaid for, for three days. The rooms were comfortable, and clean. Not too much noise from other geusts, the most noise was from the church bell up the road the rang on the hour, EVERY hour. Bathrooms were clean, although the water pressure left alot to... more

stayed one night for business, if the room wasn't so small I'd have been tempted to lash out with 5 stars but even 4 from me for a motel type place is a pretty high rating. Clean, helpful friendly staff, very central location, comfortable bed, quiet, good breakfast what more could you want, overnight parking next door at council place... more

I stayed at this hotel for a conference at Northumbria University. It was cheep, but very friendly, clean and convenient. The hotel is located right in the city centre and you can walk from here to all the attractions. It's also close to Northumbria University. Moreover, it is a 5 minute walk to the train station, from where you can... more

Stayed on business for one night in June 2008. Right from the moment of walking through the door, this was an extremely pleasant experience. A lovely friendly welcome from Amanda and David on reception, dealt with quickly and efficiently, with good explanation of facilities, times for restaurant etc. After only 5 mins in room, received phone call from reception to... more

I was in Newcastle to visit my daughter and new granddaughter and stayed for 6 nights at the Premier Inn on New Bridge Street. The location is great, you can walk to just about everything in town. The room was quite nice, clean, well-appointed. And it was wonderful to find a tub and not just a shower. Breakfast was hearty... more

This is a chain hotel which competes on the basis of the price. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and functional. Food is adequate, but on occasion slow to arrive and cold. Breakfast is an all-you-can-eat buffet, and worth the charges. Decent bar, reasonable prices, convenient for the city. more

For me everything was ok, except for the restaurant. It will take you 3 hours to get out of there since it appears there is one cook in the kitchen. Strange that it took so long (2 days 3 hours waiting) because i didn't see alot of other guests. But the food is ok, and the bed is fine. The... more

I stayed at the New Bridge Street hotel (as opposed to the OTHER city centre hotel on a business trip, so I really did want a good night's sleep. I stay at Premier Inn's a lot and am usually very happy with the standards there. I went to my large room - biggest bathroom I think I have ever seen... more
