Myself and my boyfriend stayed in this hotel last week during a few days Easter visit as I am originally from the area. Perfect location right next to the Central Station. Arrived very early as our flight landed at 8am but we were able to leave our luggage until check in. First room we were given was on floor 2... More

Don't park outside the hotel, I parked in a spot marked hotel and for patrons only, walked in, bought a coffee and by the time I sat down had been issued a £60 parking ticket by the hotel's parking contractor. The contractor then gives a premium rate number for contact. If you want to arrive in Newcastle by car go... More

Loved our stay here as a family over the Easter Bank Holiday. We stayed in room 205. Staff were very helpful and really nice at all times. Lovely room, nice sized bathroom, lovely hotel. Very central location. We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel as it seemed a little overpriced.. so we ventured out for breakfast. The only downside was the... More

Fab hotel, fab staff and even fabber location to city centre! We enjoyed afternoon tea in the restaurant, just a shame the spa wasn't open on bank holiday otherwise we would have been in there too. Overall fantastic stay - we will be back

Have stayed here for three nights and it's been very comfortable indeed. Susan checked us in. One of the most quickest and most efficient I have ever had. Room was fine looking over the Tyne bridge. Lovely bar and restaurant. Parking is the only challenge. Perhaps a deal with the long stay car park behind would be a good direction... More

We were staying for two nights over Fri/Sat nights. The hotel has some nice touches and whilst not as grand as it must have been years ago it certainly has a charm. We requested a quiet room and despite a noisy neighbour one night, its situation was ideal. The room was a good size and the bathroom was superb with... More

Excellent location close to the station but not too noisy with it. Long walk to some rooms as the hotel is quite big and stretched out, but for the price the rooms are a really good size and have good facilities. I would stay here again.

Turn right as you exit the train station and the hotel is right there. This is an old but well maintained hotel and was perfect for my one night stay. But note - there is no air conditioning! Even though the window opened, it was still a little stuffy. Also - it's next to the station - so expect it... More

As the name suggests the hotel is very close to Newcastle Central Station and very handy for the city centre and the Quay. I had a single room on the 4th floor, which was larger than average for single rooms and spotlessly clean. It was easily reachable by lift but I chose to walk down the staircase just to admire... Dear James, Thank you for taking the time to share your comments with us. OK - it can be a bit noisy at night if you have a room on the street side, it's a bit faded around the edges in places, the breakfast is fairly standard stuff but the building itself is wonderful and the staff are great.
