The B&B is not in a bad location to get into town but more for Stag or Hen groups. The bed was not confortable & wish I had asked for a room on a lower floor as we were in the roof with loads of stairs. The guttering was broken & as it rained while we were there the gushing... More

Door lock dodgy, could open it without the key,a garden shed is bigger than the bathroom. Stayed on top floor which was like a sauna. You can here a lot of movement from other parts of the hotel. It may be budget but the conditions were poorer than expected.

Personally,I cannot understand some of the negative reviews. For £25 quid I wasn't expecting a Jacuzzi in the bathroom, gold taps or a personal butler.. Neither did I expect such clean rooms, attentive & friendly staff & a bloody decent breakfast, all of which I got. I have to stay in alot of B&Bs in my line of work & have stayed in... More

Just back from my second visit to this friendly hotel, was there a year ago, has changed slightly, no longer has lounge upstairs with tv, sink, fridge, kettle, microwave, dishes, cutlery etc. This has now been split, sink, fridge etc is on first floor landing. Lounge on the ground floor has been refurbished and now has gigantic tv. Amazing value... More

Basic hotel which is clean with friendly staff, breakfast was very good, about a twenty minute walk takes you into city centre or there's plenty of buses run past the hotel. A word of warning if you are with children or want a quiet night, stay away from this hotel at weekends when stag and hen parties take over. All... More

I would recommend this place. The room size is good. The staff are friendly. If you wake up in time for breakfast its good. Bit of delay as there only one person cooking. It was what we wanted. Four lads coming up to watch the football Will stay again next time we visit newcastle.

I stayed one night prior to joining the DFDS ferry to Amsterdam and was impressed with this hotel. It is easily accessable from both the airport (about 4 miles) and the central railway station (about 2 mile) I took the number 10 bus from the station and was there in under 10 minutes and the bus stop is exactly outside... I stayed here for one night, didn't really know what to expect as the price suggests it may not be very good. The chap that checked me in was friendly, and when asked suggested a couple of places to eat nearby. He showed me to my room, showed me where the tea and coffee facilities were in the communal lounge... More
