Dear kezza197408, Thank you for your feedback, I am sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy breakfast during your stay back in February. All breakfasts are cooked to order, and extra portions can be added if requested, if there was a problem with the food a member of the breakfast team would have been able to replace this if they... A quiet clean hotel with generous bedrooms, ample parking and good access to the university and the centre of the city. Synthetic pillows difficult for those who prefer natural fibres. No traditional English breakfast.

Dear Judith C, Firstly may I take this opportunity to thank you for leaving your feedback. It is always nice to hear from guests and their experience while staying with us at the Best Western Ryokan hotel. With regards to the synthetic pillows we use these as some guests being allergic to feathers. The breakfast we offer is continental and... More

My friend and I stayed over at this hotel a few weeks ago, as we arrived the receptionist was sat on the front having a cigarette. Not very professional. We left to get some alcohol as we had planned to venture out into the city. When re-entering the hotel we were warned about noise, even though all we had done... More

We stayed for 1 night at the Ryokan Hotel which I remember as a child was the Balmoral Public House. The hotel is modern and very clean. The only things I would pick up on are a lack of storage space as our twin room had only a single wardrobe and one drawer. There was also a lack of surfaces... More

Dear Brenda S, Firstly may I take this opportunity to thank you for your feedback. It is always nice to hear from guests and their suggestions. We are planning an extension hopefully next year, and the drawer/wardrobe issue will be looked at. We added an extra shelf in the bathroom, giving guests 2 shelves and there is also the top... More

We stayed here for 2 nights. Lovely, clean and comfortable hotel. We had dinner in the Indian restaurant on the first night, which was nice, really good value for money and large portions so make sure you hungry. Location of hotel is ideal not far from town, we walked there in about 20 minutes. Would definetley stop here again.

Stayed here for 1 night to sample the delights of the Newcastle night life. Clean rooms, modern hotel. Large car park. Lift access to the floors. A breakfast area which doubles as an Indian restaraunt on an evening - didnt try either on this trip. Perfect for what we needed. A 15 minute walk to the GATE.

Fantastic location for the town centre and the staff extremely helpful, couldn't do enough for us. We Had food in the evening at the hotel which was fantastic, but it seems if you read other Trip Advisor reviews this is always the case. Will certainly be staying again when next in Newcastle.

The room was comfortable and well equipped, with a large bathroom. The hotel is not in the centre, but it only costs 3 Pounds for a taxi to take you there. The lady at reception was really helpful and gave us the number for a cheap taxi company.
