Don`t normally have time to write reviews of hotels but after hearing about the review by Kirsty D I felt like I had no option but to defend the Hedgefield. I stayed there for around 3-4 months at the beginning of the year, as I am working in the area and during this period probably stayed in every room in... More

Firstly I want to say wow! My partner had surprised me with lady gaga tickets at the metro arena (satda 22nd November) so my mission was to turn it into a romantic weekend for us so I looked for a hotel there was alot that where expensive or clearly looked like dumps but I found the hedgefield by accident I... Hedgefield House is set in its own beautiful gardens. Tree lined drive leading up to the house with gargoyles on the roof, very impressive. We spent two nights in the beautiful four poster room. The room had its own dressing room concealed behind wardrobe doors. If we hadn't been shown it we probably wouldn't of know it was there! Bathroom... More

We recently spent one night here (15/11/14) and were delighted with the room we'd been given; the bed was really comfortable and the shower was so powerful that it was like having a massage! The whole hotel is stunning and decorated beautifully; a lot of pride and attention to detail is obvious. Breakfast was lovely, with lots of choice. Unfortunately,... More

Stayed at the Hedgefield House in October, The minute you go up the tree lined drive you think wow very impressive. The house is gorgeous and the rooms certainly don't disappoint either, ours was more like a suit than a room pure luxury. We stayed there for the weekend as our little get away from it all treat. We were... More

Hedgefield House is an ideal location for the Metrocentre and Newcastle whilst at the same time has some lovely countryside towards ancient towns of Hexham and Corbridge. It is very close to all bus routes which is useful if you have no car. The room was very nicely furnished as the pictures show and very clean, the bathroom was very... More

Firstly, we would like to mention that the hotel rooms are absolutely Amazing and really well thought out. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in the room. It seemed like a really nice hotel until we woke up the following morning. Both my partner and I felt strange In the morning and couldn't put our finger on it so... More

This place offers it all - the total package ! Well priced and very individual rooms, tastefully restored and in a dream historic garden setting - so close to city and countryside. Breakfasts while buffet style offer a feast of fruit options plus the usual cereals and yogurts as well as sliced meats and cheeses....to go with fresh coisants or... More

I stayed here on an excursion along Hadrian's Wall. It's about 20 minutes walk from the wall path. This is an outstanding property, with gardens, wildlife and character. The hospitality is first class. I had a twin room with close by, shared bathroom facilities. No problem with this at all. My room had a hand basin as well. Bathroom is... More
