I can only say this was a gem of a find. The house and grounds are beautiful. Our room which was a twin was both comfortable and very clean and included everything to make our stay a pleasant one.The shared bathroom was amazing. After travelling from Birmingham with my son by train sightseeing in wonderful Newcastle and then watching our team play... More

Only stayed 1 night. Initially it was slightly difficult to find as it hides behind high walls and the entrance is slightly obscure and on a bend. However, once we arrived Hedgefield House opened up like pandoras box. Large reception area with a full size suit for a knight in shining armour, standing on guard. Lots of oriental feeling pieces... Set in a beautiful tranquil grounds. House decor is beautiful restored to the highest level clean and tidy. Rooms are very nicely done large bathroom (double room) .Breakfast was lovely healthy, fruit, cereal, toast loads of choice. Our bed was on the firm side which does not suit our comfort taste but we can not fault the hotel in general.

Don`t normally have time to write reviews of hotels but after hearing about the review by Kirsty D I felt like I had no option but to defend the Hedgefield. I stayed there for around 3-4 months at the beginning of the year, as I am working in the area and during this period probably stayed in every room in... More

Hedgefield House is set in its own beautiful gardens. Tree lined drive leading up to the house with gargoyles on the roof, very impressive. We spent two nights in the beautiful four poster room. The room had its own dressing room concealed behind wardrobe doors. If we hadn't been shown it we probably wouldn't of know it was there! Bathroom... More

We recently spent one night here (15/11/14) and were delighted with the room we'd been given; the bed was really comfortable and the shower was so powerful that it was like having a massage! The whole hotel is stunning and decorated beautifully; a lot of pride and attention to detail is obvious. Breakfast was lovely, with lots of choice. Unfortunately,... More

Stayed at the Hedgefield House in October, The minute you go up the tree lined drive you think wow very impressive. The house is gorgeous and the rooms certainly don't disappoint either, ours was more like a suit than a room pure luxury. We stayed there for the weekend as our little get away from it all treat. We were... More

Hedgefield House is an ideal location for the Metrocentre and Newcastle whilst at the same time has some lovely countryside towards ancient towns of Hexham and Corbridge. It is very close to all bus routes which is useful if you have no car. The room was very nicely furnished as the pictures show and very clean, the bathroom was very... More
