Nice hotel, sited close to the Tyne at the edge of the city centre but near the Baltic art centre, Tyne bridge and quayside. The room was spacious with a good bed and nice claw-foot bath. Plenty of tea/coffee making facilities. There is currently a building site behind, although it was not too noisy. My room had a view of... More

This is a lovely hotel well renovated from an old warehouse. The staff are all very friendly. The walk to town centre would maybe be a bit long for some at 30 minutes but a taxi is only about £6. Rooms and breakfast of a high standard I would definitely stay here again

We stayed here for our anniversary as part of a deal which included dinner bed and breakfast. Check in was quick and simple, and we were escorted up to our room by a friendly pleasant lady. She gave us a quick tour of the room and left us to it. The room was large and very luxurious with a huge... More

I stayed in The Grande Dame suite with my daughter the night before her wedding. It was amazing. The suite had a mezzanine floor which housed two roll top baths and a shower. There was loads of room for visitors, such as brother and sister and their families. The bed was huge so plenty of space for comfort. The service... More

The Hotel du Vin and Bistro is well located a short walk from the Newcastle Quayside, and very convenient from the airport and from my work location. It is very characterful, with a lovely little bar and lounge, and the room was fantastic. I loved the trendy layout and features of the room, with a bathtub in one corner and... More

Stayed here for three nights whilst in Newcastle for the Great North Run. We stayed in the Penfold room, which is a large suite on the ground floor. Room was really impressive with large area, huge bed, lovely decor, roll top bath in the room, and seating all around the 180degree windows. Portholes in the shower meant you could peak... More

Our first foray to Newcastle, and the Hotel du Vin didn't disappoint. Everything from the sympathetic refurbishment of the property, to the muted tones of the decor and incredibly helpful/welcoming staff made it a perfect stay. And if we ever get the chance to visit Newcastle again, we'd definitely check into HdV.

We stayed for a wedding and had an amazing suite at the front of the building on the third floor with enormous windows and a bath on a mezzanine floor. Good unguents, nespresso machine, bath robes etc made this a special stay. The food in the bistro was excellent, and the outdoor courtyard is a lovely spot. Good location for... More

Stayed here for three nights last week and cannot fault this hotel and its staff at all, would recommend it and will stay there again on any trips "up north" used both menus and the food was excellent on both, maybe a little to much but that's not a black mark, room layout was unusual with the bath in the...
