My wife and I stayed here on Saturday 18th (very last minute). When we arrived we were provided with a Tudor room (Anne Boleyn) at £165 for the night. Well I’m sorry but the building might be old and protected but that is no excuse to have bedrooms that require a complete refit. The carpet is old and the walls... More

We have stayed at this hotel many times before, but on Saturday night we thought we would treat ourselves with a night away, so I booked a room. The service that we received was very poor and very disappointing!!!!!!!!!!!! When we arrived they had no reference of our booking! Luckily they had a spare room, so we could stay. Then... More

The family descended on Lythe Hill for an anniversary weekend. The location and grounds are superb, the rooms are smart and comfortable, the bar and restaurant are well-stocked and well-managed. We had a special meal in "The Dungeon" and it was excellent. Special thanks go to Jenny and Rebecca (not sure about the correct spelling) in the bar abd restaurant.... More

We had hoped to stay at the hotel, but it was fully booked, but we attended a private lunch party on a Sunday in September. There's a nice bright dining room with a glass roof. The food was good, roast beef and enormous Yorkshire Puddings were delicious and memorable. Quite an achievement for 60 or so people. Staff were polite... More

Having read the reviews lately i was a little concerned to say the least about this hotel but how wrong i was to be worried. My partner and I travelled from Newcastle to Lythe Hill for the weekend as we were attending a wedding at nearby Ramster Hall. We were greeted by a friendly welcome, a spotless room with lots... I managed to book this hotel at the last minute due to a cancellation which was perfect as we were booked in for fine dining in the restaurant on the Saturday evening. Firstly, the hotel allowed me to check in early (around 12.30ish) which was fantastic as it allowed us to drop our belongings off and head out for the... More

Stayed here for one evening while working nearby, room was spotless . Bed was very comfortable, Shower was a bit too powerful and could not be lowered and left a huge pond on the floor. Sofa and seating area was nice , one word of warning, there was NO phone signal at all, wifi was excellent

I wish I could say great things about our recent stay at this property but alas, I cannot. When we arrived around 8:30 PM, we were assigned to "Goodwood." When we started to unpack, we found not a single hangar in the wardrobe. I went to call the front desk to request some and the phone did not work so... More

My partner and I checked in for a romantic weekend and it was superb from start to finish. The Tudor beamed restaurant was wonderful and I fully recommend the Chateaubriand. We stayed in Astor and the room was spacious and comfortable. The grounds were beautifully maintained and the spa was excellent.
