The hotel is about a mile outside Haslemere, and could do to be quite a bit more as the town has nothing to recommend it. Lythe Hill itself is a reasonable, conference centre-type hotel with bedroom-bathroom-sitting room suites that were clean but in need of an upgrade (the bath had been repainted with enamel paint that was wearing through). Food... more

I don't ever write on these things but after my stay at Lythe Hill Hotel for a 2 night break on 27th November with my partner, I felt I had to because and were immensly disappointed with what we found. Attending a wedding in the area, we decided to make a long weekend of it and booked the Lythe Hill... more

Everything about the hotel and facilities was very good. A nice room and a classic evening meal. Maybe one slight downside was a poorish breakfast with the various hot dishes running out and the toaster not working. But not such a problem as overall the stay was very good. more

I booked a Sunday night stay for myself and my husband to get away after our little boy was born earlier this year. We wanted a reasonably priced good quality hotel with spa facilities and good food where we could relax. We got a very well priced stay at a lovely country hotel with excellent food and extremely helpful staff,... more

Lythe Hill is set in wonderful grounds but fails on most levels as a four star hotel. Room was contemporary and well appointed but the bathroom was a big disappointment. Problems with heating meant the room was hot. Reception/room service was charmless/hopeless, almost Fawlty Towers-like. I had an argument with room service about the time of day! (It had taken... more

At Lythe Hill we prime ourselves for delivering the best service at all times but as many of our visitors will know there are certain days that the service levels will be compromised as in any other operation by unforseen circunstances such as maintenance issues, staff calling in sick or pure absence. Breakfast is clearly an area were we are...

There were both positive and negative points of our two days at Lythe Hill - I will start with the positive POSITIVE *Lovely room - beautiful 4 poster bed, clean, very nice executive suite (but you do get what you pay for, the other rooms looked quite small in comparison) *Great spa - we booked our treatments in advance and... more

We've taken advantage of the fab Sunday rate twice over the last month and had very relaxing stays. The pool, sauna and steam room are terrific-just wish they would warn you that there is a wateraerobics session Monday evening so you can plan earlier swim before dinner. The rooms were comfy and clean if a bit noisy in the old building.... more

My husband and I went here for a weekend break and we had high hopes having stayed at the hotel a year ago. How times had changed things. Even though we had paid for an executive room it was shabby, small and not clean. When shown an alternative room it smelt of smoke so we were forced to stay where... more

Dear Guest, it is with great disapointment that I have read your comments. The service you received was not of the normal high standard our guests usually experience at Lythe Hill, and I would very much like the opportunity to express my desire of showing you the hotel in its true colours in a near future so please do not...
