We have just returned home from staying at the Lythe Hill, for our wedding anniversary. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, everything was perfect. We stayed in the Anne of Cleeves suite in the tudor building which was amazing, perfect. Dinner was in the old part of the restaurant, food was very good, but... more

Booked a 'romantic' weekend with my wife and thought we'd splash out on an "Executive" room. Hotel has the feel of a converted Old people's home. The room was a muddy brown and had the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on (two beds pushed together - bit odd). Room service runs through the reception, so with only 1... more

We stayed here after attending our friends wedding. We were meant to be staying at the travelodge in Liphook, but had to get alternative accommodation, this cost us a lot more but that’s another story!!! The reception staff were great, and although the hotel was full arranged for rooms to be cleaned a ready for us in no time, even... more

I stayed here for two nights for my honeymoon in early April. I did a deal to upgrade our room to a Junior Suite. If that was a Junior Suite I would hate to see a standard room. Very basic and dated. And the radiator kept us up half the night making odd noises. Loads of niggly little things made... more

My partner and I stayed overnight here, just for a relaxing break. It was so lovely, friendly staff (particularly in the restaurant) stunning location (despite the rain), beautiful rooms and a lovely spa area. Literally can't fault it. The breakfast was amazing - a continental style buffet AND cooked breakfast!! more

Food average, interior of rooms like the 1980's, hotel dislikes children and on the evening (6 pm) of our stay management announced that children are not allowed in the pool! My wife who was at the hotel with our three children (7,4 and 1) objected and the manager called the police. Quite an experience and badly managed by the so... more

My husband and I got married at Lythe Hill Hotel in March 2009. We found the hotel after searching the internet for scenic places in Surrey which would hold all our guests and not cost the earth. Lythe Hill is located in a beautiful setting which makes a great backdrop for wedding photos. It is also quite flexible in terms... more

Well, beautiful pictures in the booklet but horrible atmosphere otherwise, smelly, the original Tudor house is too small to accommodate everybody so quite likely you'll be offered a room in the new block which smells and looks like a residential home and has a similar atmosphere. Design - non-existent, sound insulation - judge yourself if you're woken up by the... more

Awful - we booked one of the most expensive rooms. When we arrived the bath had not been washed (hairs in the bath). Dinner was overrated and overpriced - so on second night cancelled our second evening meal and went in to Haslemere for a Curry. Spa and grounds were nice - recomend a daytrip!! more

We stayed for a night prior to a mid morning flight from Gatwick - which looks about 30 minutes away on the map but the route across country is not that straight forward and it took us nearly an hour. The hotel has a 'clinical', spa like feel, getting 'buzzed' in and out of the place makes you wonder wether... more
