The Asperion is, as you can tell if you read the other reviews here, an excellent hotel. Yes, it's small. Yes, it isn't run by a big corporation. No, the rooms aren't all the same. No, there isn't a massive restaurant turning out many covers a night. Instead you get informal, personal service that's flexible and friendly. The room wasn't... more

We were playing golf in the area and choose this charming hotel. It proved to be a great location to get to all the courses. The rooms were impressively large for the UK, staff helpful and friendly, and meals were excellent and very reasonably priced. Room 12 was large with a lovely view of the garden. Don't miss the 'sticky... more

I stayed for a training course and spent two nights in the single room. Despite the shower room being separate (but private use) I still got excellent value for my money. The room was clean, fresh and cosy as was the shower room. A bathrobe, toiletries and hairdryer were supplied plus a handy trouser press. There was also complimentary chocolate... more

I only spent one night at the asperion hotel, but I will definitely be going back. From start to finish I was treated with the utmost courtesy, carrying my bags, getting me drinks, food etc, you name it. The "honesty bar" was great - you dont have to keep waiting for a member of staff to bring you a drink,... more

Just returned from a two night stay. Lovely room, comfy bed. Excellent breakfast and the nice touches like fruit, chocolate, and water in the room add to it. Ten minutes walk into Guildford town centre. I would stay here again. more

I stayed at the hotel for one night, and had a single room. General I found this a very pleasant hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, both before arriving (I had to contact them to ask about bedding, due to an allergy) and on arrival (helping to book taxi etc) The breakfast (which is included in the room rate)... more

Having selected the Asperion based on the reviews on TripAdvisor, I arranged for my mother to stay there for one night while visiting me in Guildford, and I popped in while she was there to check out the facilities for myself. The single room was small with no ensuite (we were warned in advance of this), but she was provided... more

I stayed for 2 nights and was pleased with the location. The single room although very clean, was tiny, a ltitle too small for comfort. I agree with the previous writer who noted that there was a small rail with three hangers, but no cupboard or drawers. On the matter of breakfast, the first morning was very efficient, and I... more

I have just returned from having spent two nights in the Asperion and have enjoyed the experience. My mother and I had a very comfortable stay there. We both enjoyed the freshly cooked breakfasts which were ordered according to our requirements. The organic and green ethos of the hotel appealed to us both as did the reading material in our rooms. We had a... more

I spent four nights per week at the Asperion for several months . The staff were always very welcoming and helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble. The hotel has a great contemporary feel to it and the rooms are all comfortable and well-equipped The food is mostly organic and fairtrade where possible and always cooked to order - always... more
