Hurtwood Inn was our last stop on a very busy trip from Scotland to England. We had travelled thousands of miles serching for the perfect Inn with great food and the Hurtwood Inn was by far the BEST! The hotel is absolutely beautiful an is located in a very rural location where you can sit and watch the world go... more

My husband and I stayed there on Saturday night (7th March 2009) and arrived there mid afternoon, the location is wonderful. The hotel has a lovely bar and we sat and had a drink and the most delicious smoked salmon sandwich. Oour room (no 16) was lovely, so clean and spacious. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was... more

Booked through Laterooms at £69 b & b, the hotel is ok if you want to be in a rural location with just a church and small village shop for miles. There is no lift and rooms on the second floor do leave you gasping for oxygen. The room was large but old-fashioned , with an old sony trinitron tv... more

Beautiful idyllic location, a long, long way from the nearest main road, it's in the tiny village of Peaslake, surrounded by woodland and meadows. This is fantastic if (like me & the girlfriend) you love nature and the countryside - several footpaths start right outside the hotel. It wouldn't be suitable if you wanted somewhere close to the motorway/ train station.... more

The hotel is in a lovely quaint location, however not much to do within walking distance. After looking at photo's on hotel website I was looking forward to our trip- however on arrival I was dissapointed to see the chalet style room which I can only compare to a 2* american motel. It was extremely dated and was in much... more

This was great! I just needed one night to stay in this exact area to avoid going unnecessarily home to London and back (long story) and this place just kind of popped up, but I really hope to go back there with my wife and spend a few nights and enjoy it properly. The hotel was very helpful by email... more

This ought to be such a charming hotel. It's rather "dotty", in a pleasant way and the people are friendly, though perhaps too many foreign staff to permit real local colour. That said, the rooms are fine, especially the larger (chalet) rooms at the rear. Loads of space, peace and tranquility. Make sure to get the best price on the... more

Situated in the village of Peaslake in the gorgeous Surrey Hills, Hurtwood Inn, is the ideal spot to stay if you like walking / cycling etc. We have stayed here many times, both in the main hotel, (when we're without the dogs), or in the "Garden Rooms" with the dogs, we and the dogs have always been made very welcome.... more

This is at best a three star hotel charging way to much for what it actually is. The food and rooms are ok but I found the owner rude and impolite - there was never a smile or a hello from any of the staff . And I never felt welcomed - it was almost like it was a chore... more
