We paid £29 for a double room for the night. £29 for a room anywhere near Guildford Town (5-10 min walk) that is very clean and functionaly is an absolute bargain. Had I paid the full rack rate of £73 I would be disappointed. So you get what you pay for, a good sized room with ensuite shower and no... more

Stayed one night here Large double bed, small TV but ok selection of channels (including Film4) Shower only in bathroom - no bath. Standard basic Travelodge accomodation - no phone, toiletries just the basics Site also has cafe and bar Only gripes were no way of arranging a wake-up (take mobile and set alarm) and bed is too soft for... more

This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel and got rates of £26 per night for a good sized family room. It was basic but very clean. Limited towels supplied but a quick visit to the reception and the friendly staff will supply all your needs. Like a previous reviewer we had to get extra bedding from... more

Myself and my partner stayed on a Sunday night mid Sept and would definately stay here again. The hotel has a car park on site but is also an easy 10 min walk to the train station. We had a double room on the 3rd floor which was a bit of a walk from the lift with a heavy bag... more

We booked a family room at this hotel for 1 week over Easter. The double bed was too soft for my husband and me, so we give that to our 2 daughters and we took the put me up and the sofa bed and we all slept quite well for the whole week. Although the trains ran directly at the... more

I had booked a family room as although there were only 2 of us it was my teenage daughter with whom I was travelling. Despite this only the double bed was made up and we had to go to reception to get the extra bedding needed. It was not brought to us and we had to make up the other... more

I have just took advantage of the £15 offer and the slamming reception door is still a problem. To avoid this stay on any floor other then the one where the reception is. Pluses were-good full breakfast and reasonable at £7.50 and free parking. Minuses were-no bath towel and tv remote but were soon replaced when reported. more

I was aware of the Travelodge's advertising of not paying for items you don't need, and I generally agree, however, they have taken the concept too far, and the rate of 55 pounds a night is not much lower than a Holiday Inn in the same area. My biggest complaint is that I like to make telephone calls from my... more

We stayed here last Sunday having got an excellent rate of £15 for a family room through the hotel website. This was our second visit to this hotel the first being over a year ago. I agree with all previous comments, there are no frills here but it is beautifully clean, very comfortable and despite being next to the railway... more

A convenience location with pleasant rooms. The Travelodge is not straight forward to find but has ample free parking on the ground floor. Staff are helpful as are the lifts. It looks relatively new or recently redecorated but can be something of a maze once inside. It is a short 15 minute walk to the centre of Guildford passing the... more
