We stayed last night and can't quite believe we paid so much for so little. Encouraged by the setting, which is quite picturesque, we made our way to reception, which is when it started to dawn on me that this wasn't going to be the greatest experience we've ever had. The decor is really really dated, but I don't mind... more

I had a lovely stay at this hotel the grounds are amazing, very picturesque From the moment I walked in the door there was a friendly atmosphere, unlike big corporate hotels the rooms had a key lock which makes a huge difference, means that there is no faffing with electronic keys, a lovely change as it means that you can... more

We had book a Spa day with over night stay and breakfest. For £79 each we had use of the gym, 2 course lunch, refreshments in the gym, swimming pool, steam room and sauna. The room it self was large bright, though it did smell of gloss paint ! As all the panels in the room had be re-painted, hence... more

The website promised "excellent accommodation", well I beg to differ... Arrived around 7.30pm, the car park is very poorly lit and small compared to the size of the hotel therefore struggled to find a space. Check in was quick, then came the climb with suitcase up 3 flights of stairs to room 34... First impressions after a long working day... more

Stayed Here for a wedding over the Weekend. From First arriving they left a good impression. The General Manager met us on arrival which is quite often a rarity in hotels, he was very friendly and welcoming and we were then checked in by a Lovely friendly receptionist who was smiling and chatty all throughout her shift. The hotel is... more

Stayed Aug 08 for 2 nights. Nice location but clearly rooms vary in quality. Mine had numerous maintenance problems, plumbing and electrical. Poor quality bed, dowdy bathroom. My room- 14- hadnt been redecorated for a long time. Restaurant is also poor and not good value. more

Welcome was adequate. Room was in the top of the rafters with very low ceilings in places but clean enough. Bathroom tap was very difficult to turn off. Restaurent experience was a disaster - beer was off, starters very mediocre, main was not what was ordered, sauce came out when the meal was finished, staff were rude and unhelpful. Duty... more

Stayed here for 2 nights in November for a friends wedding, all in all it does the job, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the wedding ceremony and breakfast were personal and welcoming Our room was a good size, on the front of the hotel, but the hotel is just a little dated , though it does the job... more

We stayed at the Manor House at the beginning of August to attend a friends wedding nearby. On first impressions the hotel is very nice. The grounds are lovely and the hotel very picturesque. Ouur room was a good size and reasonably comfortable though the radiator was permanently on in the bathroom, which is not good when the weather is... more
