I realise that budget accomodation means no frills, but I would still expect a certain level of cleanliness and good housekeeping and that was just not the case. The family room we had was dirty, tired and in desperate need of a makeover. Despite being a family of five we had one hand towel and one bath towel provided, even... more

I paid £42 per night for two nights at this Travelodge. I wasn't expecting much - it's a Travelodge at the end of the day and you get what you pay for. The place is in desperate need of refurbishment but that isn't my complaint. My room was filthy. The bathroom was disgusting. The toilet and sink didn't look like... more

The usual Travelodge fare, with cheap rates and clean rooms. It is on the outskirts of Dorking. We had a particularly big room and it had a very nice view. Big car park with a Frankie & Bennys in case you get hungry! The man on the night reception was very friendly. more

We stayed here for a weekend visiting friends locally. Friendly reception staff. Room was simply furnished with comfortable bed. Shower powerful but bath too shallow - this was my only complaint. Dorking town centre is within short walking distance of the hotel. Parking is easy. Good value for money if you get a good rate by booking ahead. more

Well at full price this Travelodge would be below par but i paid £19 and given the rate this Travelodge is acceptable (though i've had better at the same rate). The location is excellent, handy for Gatwick with a couple of decent pubs for dinner in easy walking distance. There's plenty of parking, friendly staff and rooms are a decent... more

The building and the room were tired and un-inviting. Staff at check-in was relatively friendly, and the room wasn't to badly sized. Furniture and bathroom, carpets and bedding all in dire need of refurbishment. There were absolutely no toiletries in the bathroom (which may be a travelodge standard - but I was unpleasantly surprised anyway). The restaurant (I believe it... more

Efficient and friendly reception staff. Clean but showing some signs of wear and tear. Quiet enough to get a decent nights sleep. If you don't fancy the Little Chef (not for me) then there are plenty of places to eat in Dorking (approx 1/2 mile into town - turn left out of car park and go straight on at roundabout). more

The hotel is in good proximity to Dorking town centre, and also to destinations in the surrounding area. The customer service was excellent, very friendly and helpful with our queries. The room wasn't the best room I have ever stayed in, however it was what you would expect of a no-frills hotel. The room was extremely hot, but this could... more

As our flight from Gatwick was very early on a Monday, my family and I decided to stay the night in the Gatwick area. For 3 adults sharing this looked a costly night - but luckily on checking the travelodge website, this hotel in Dorking, about 20 mins or so drive to Gatwick Airport, came up at £26 for the... more

Nice, clean & cheap. About 15 min to Gatwick, and 10 pounds if you book in advance make this a great value plus a cool name! I stayed here with wife and two kids aged 9 & 10. Make sure you book at least 21 days in advance and you can get in for as little as 10 pounds!! Use... more
